I love how the show is a character driven show and sometimes you just don’t even care about the case at hand…only what is going on with our main characters. Over the past 8 seasons we have seen how close a family everyone has become and how we truly believe that they would do ANYTHING to help each other.
This past season the Squints have had to deal with a deranged villain by the name of Pelant who is out to torment and tease Booth and the team as he has proven to be a worthy opponent to Bones. They have yet to catch him, even though Booth came close, by a shot to his head that has left him quite scarred. But Pelant seemed to still have won the last hand as he promises to kill innocent people if Booth doesn’t break off the long-awaited wedding proposal that Bones finally asked of Booth.
All of the Squints are a joy to watch as Hodgins just loves to blow things up and experiment with the toys in the lab. It gets even better when he drags in one of the revolving interns of the week for some lab fun. Angela is still the sweetest person in the Jeffersonian but is struggling with staying and dealing with the crazy killers on a daily basis. Sweets was fun to watch as he roomed with Booth and Bones at their house, but has finally moved out and I am curious as to what happens with him in the upcoming season. He blames himself for some of Pelant’s crazy tactics because Pelant got into his files and used some of that information. Yes, it has been a wild ride…and I love every minute of it.
