This week’s excuse is “Exercise is boring!” Well, it can be, of course, but it’s your own responsibility to find activities that you enjoy so that you don’t get burned out. I personally prefer things like dancing, swimming and biking. I enjoy walking as long as I can listen to music while doing so. What kind of exercises do you enjoy?

Of course all the losers miss Hawaii, but some are glad to be back on campus because it means a return to routine. Back to where they are comfortable and can put more focus on the weight loss. After all, isn’t that why they are there?

Ali welcomes them back with a challenge. It’s a Feeding America challenge. Each person must load 150 boxes of Newman’s Own products onto a truck. Half of the boxes are 15 pounds and the other half are 20 pounds. The first person to get their truck loaded and drop their flag wins 30, 749 pounds of food for their home town’s food bank from Feeding America. That’s the total amount of weight ever lost on campus on the Biggest Loser. The winner will also win a one pound advantage for the weigh-in. Again, Buddy is not cleared to participate. Mark wins and then Ali announces that if they all finish they will all have trucks of food delivered to their home towns. Mark joins in and they all help each other finish.

Bob is focusing on Megan this week since Kimmy is gone. He doesn’t think she’s working to her potential. He asks her to keep a video journal for the week for him to see her doing all her homework. She realizes that she does have issues with self motivation. Dolvett takes his peeps to a Zumba class and I am so jealous. It looks so much fun! Don’t even get me started on Dolvett’s moves! They all had so much fun and they each took turns helping lead the class. The other students were so encouraging to them, too. It was great. Meanwhile, Bob took his three girls on a mountain bike ride. Conda was in the back griping the whole time and Bob was laughing at her. Chris struggled a bit. Megan kicked butt. None of them ever gave up. Back at the house, Subway Jared showed up to give them all a pep talk and give them all some subs for lunch.

Dolvett has a talk with Jeremy about his parent’s divorce. His father was a painkiller addict and Dolvett wonders if Conda and Jeremy have the addiction gene. Jeremy figures that just might be the case. That’s the case with me as well, so I know how much harder that is to fight. Megan is working hard on her video diary and is doing a great job.

Cooking challenge! The losers meet Ali at the grocery store and she announces that they have 7 minutes to come up with a recipe and gather the ingredients for that recipe. Then they will have 20 minutes back at the ranch to cook. The winner will get $1000 for every pound they lose this week. Hilarity ensued when they all were running around with their carts. At two minutes to go, Jeremy’s cart was still empty. He decided to make French toast and when the 7 minutes was up, he had forgotten the eggs. DOH! So he had to come up with something on the fly. Just watch him win! Here’s what they all made:

Conda – Spicy Cabbage Stew
Chris – Broccoli Stuffed Chicken (her chicken was raw…caused drama later!)
Jeremy – Banana Surprise
Megan – Pan Seared Tilapia w/mixed veggies
Mark – Marinated Chicken
Buddy – Tropical Chicken Salad (used real mayo! No-no!)
Kim – Teriyaki Beef on a Portabello Mushroom

They were judged on taste, creativity, and nutritional value. The judges were Vinny, Antone and Becky from Season 12. They enjoyed the meals of Conda, Megan, Mark and Kim, but Mark’s was a little high in sodium. Buddy got hit for using real mayo. Jeremy got hit for being totally bat crazy. But Chris got hit the worst for not fully cooking the chicken and making excuses for it. She said, “this isn’t a cooking show, it’s a weight loss show”. Well, she apparently raised Antone’s ire and he called her out in front of everybody about not making excuses in a season that’s about no excuses. Kim won the challenge, by the way. Later, while she was working out alone in the gym, Antone approached Chris to tell her he didn’t mean to offend her, but she wasn’t exactly receptive and they left it on unresolved terms. She was left feeling insecure about what she had actually conquered.

Bob shows up for last chance workouts in a referee outfit and watches Megan’s video diary. He is very proud of her. Dolvett set up and obstacle course throughout the gym and outside for his team. Kim smoked the boys on time. Bob keeps on top of Megan all through their workout. No matter what her number is on that scale, she worked really hard this week! Later Bob has a talk with Chris about the Antone situation and tells her not to let anyone take her accomplishments away from her. She breaks down and he explains to her that she controls how people make her feel.

Weigh-in results:

Kim – 7 (4.09%) $7000
Conda – 7 (3.23%)
Chris – 4 (2.30%)
Jeremy – 6 (2.26%)
Buddy – 6 (2.18%)
Megan – 4 (2.05%)
Mark – 0 + 1 = 1 (0.5%)

So who will it be? Mark or Megan? If it were me, I would vote for Mark. He’s been there long enough and has lost enough weight. She needs to be there more. But she’s also more of a threat for the same reason. Which is apparently what they thought, because they voted her off with a vote of 3 – 0. She has lost 70 pounds so far and is back to competing with her horse. Her boyfriend, Michael, who also lost 80 pounds asked her to marry him, and she said yes. Congrats to the happy couple and good luck to them both. What did you think of this episode? I thought it was pretty good. I could have done without the Antone situation, it made me kind of uncomfortable. Next week is makeovers! And they’re going to the White House! So I’ll see you back here for that.
