It’s Valentine’s Day for the Scooby Squad and as usual, the people in a relationship are excited to get the case solved so they can have romantic evenings with loved ones. While the ones not in relationships are in no hurry at all to solve the case…as a matter of fact it is just Valentine Massacre Day.

Once again the special effect crew had me looking at the TV with a look of total disgust on my face as I witness them scooping up a soupy body off of a tanning bed. I think my tanning days are done. Cam wants a fast “cause of death” so that she can enjoy her plans for the night, but unfortunately murder is involved.

One of the storylines I was enjoying was about Jack trying to find the perfect gift for Angela. The first, was a pair of earrings to match the necklace he got her. But Cam tells him she doesn’t really like the necklace, so that’s out! Next he gets her this tear jar the Egyptians use to put their tears in as the slave are to be buried…um “no” says Edison. Edison gives him some really nice advice about what to do. In the end, Jack makes his own slime/mold stuff that smells like roses and names it after Angela. Score! She loves it!

Edison seeks advice from “very open-minded” Angela , because his girlfriend wants something he is very hesitant to give. She tells him “if it’s not illegal and won’t hurt ya, give it to her. We find out that she wanted him to dress up and strip for her. Whoa! Mr. Edison has a bod!

As for Cam, she is pushing everyone throughout the episode so she can keep her date. At one point he shows up with roses for her and since they won’t show any public display of affection at work, they both IMAGINE what it would be like to kiss. Ok, so this was a bit dorky for me. In the end, he shows up in a limo with a huge amount of roses in the car and they head out for the evening.

As for Booth, everyone is asking how he is dealing with the day, since he broke up with Hannah. He tells them it’s just Valentine’s Massacre Day. Maybe he sees it that way since his heart has been massacred lately. The best part of the episode is when Bones acts like she is all sympathetic with the one suspect and he ends up confessing to the killing. Our partners are back! That’s the B & B I know and love!

As for Bones, I see that the writers wanted us to see that we did not take the approach of “poor Temp has no one”. Throughout the episode she received numerous calls asking her to go out. Even though she gets all these date requests, she is insulted that they would think she is available (even though she is) and she calls it a “ridiculous holiday, even the banks don’t close” haha!

In the end, Bones joins Booth at the shooting range and she has a gift for him…2 TommyBoy machine guns like gangsters used. He loves it and they both shoot up the range.

What did you think? Did you like the episode? Were you surprised at Mr. Edison’s body? Leave me your 2cents.
