This time David Alan Grier was our guest as Bunsen Jude the Science Dude and let me just say I thought this was going to be a bust. Grier was wonderful though, as he brought to the show some wonderful lines and the inner child in us came out. Here is what happened.

Cam introduces Dude to Bones and he wants to do a show with her as his guest. She doesn’t want any part of it, but Cam suggests that he be the Squint-tern for the week and prove that he knows a little something about science. One of my favorite things about this episode is how everyone is yelling “Dude!” throughout the episode. Especially when you hear Bones saying something as simple as; “Nice to meet you, Dude”, or Angela yelling across the Jeffersonian: “Dude! Dude!”
I think the happiest of the Squints was Hodgins and Cam as they enjoyed all of Dude’s quotes and knowledge. Hodgins was in his glory as they experimented on how the victim died using sling shots and potato guns.

My favorite part was when Angela convinces Temp to do the show and tap into her inner child. She explains to her that she needs to do this for all the girls, so they will dream big. Then she tells Temp that if she has a girl she is going to name her Temperance…well maybe as her middle name…because calling her that would just “be awful”. Haha! #1

As for Booth and Bones, none of the sexual tension or the girlfriend was mentioned, thank God. But the fun thing was how Bones said she knows how she would commit the perfect murder. Booth claimed he would catch her on it. Then he asks how she would do it, and she won’t tell him because “you’re dating a journalist and in a post coital haze he might tell her and she would print it for killers to see.” Haha #2. They never do say how she would commit the perfect murder…dang!

I liked the way Sweets stood up to Booth as he interrupted him in session with a client even though it didn’t really work…but he did try. Booth needed Sweets for 2 minutes and told the client Sweets is the best and will be able to help him. We would have never heard this from Booth’s lips 2 yrs ago. Needless to say, the client was there considering changing gender.

Booth tells Bones that she should do the show, for all the future squints out there.
Hodgins tells Dude how he loves his show and that in college they made a drinking game out of the show. Whenever Dude yelled “Amazing” they had to drink. As they talked and discussed the case Dude said “amazing” and Hodgins grabbed a beaker with God only knows what in it and chugged it then he gags. Haha #3

It’s a barbarity that clarity is a rarity” the quote that Bones likes and agrees to do the show, since Dude helped solve the case. Everyone is excited as the show is about to begin (in the Jeffersonian). Bones comes out in this wonderful skeletal outfit with Mickey Mouse hands and gets the kids excited. I love how Booth is sitting in the audience all proud and you can see the adoration in his eyes. Everyone….awe!
Finally, I must not forget to say…we need more Caroline!

What did you think? Did you like this episode? Do you want to see more Dude?

Hmm, I don’t know if I want more Dude, I’d find him pretty annoying if he never let down the “TV Persona”.. but if he turned out to be a regular dude underneath the Science Dude, I could imagine him dating Cam. She seemed very enthusiastic whenever he was around.
