Billie is four months pregnant and yet finding herself staring down the barrel of her maternity leave replacement. Will the young hip blogger prevail?

Billie is up against a kid named Max for her own job, never mind that firing a woman while she’s on maternity leave is illegal. They are both to watch the same movie that isn’t even in theaters yet, and write reviews to submit. Whichever one is printed wins, though whether it’s win their job or win…something else, it’s unclear. They have to watch it together, and when Max won’t pause the movie, Billie bolts because she has to pee. Max then proves that all Max’s I’ve ever known were terrible people by getting rid of the movie so that she can’t see it. Davis comes to her rescue and takes her to go see a large man named Jabba who, after being given an egg sandwich, gives her a copy of the movie. She turns in her review and prays.

Meanwhile, Zach is trying his hand at sous chef at his restaurant. His boss is impressed enough with his risotto that he lets him take over for one night. That night is interrupted when James arrives in person to tell Billie that what he was doing was out of spite (a realization made possible thanks to Olivia) and that her job is safe. Billie starts crying tears of joy, but Zach mistakes them for a sign that she’s upset. He and James punch each other, but apparently no ill will is harbored as they both end up back at Billie’s place icing their faces. Things get awkward for James when Billie and Zach talk about naming their baby Isabella. It’s worth mentioning that Billie promised Davis that he could sleep in her bed with her in it if he got her the copy of that movie…that had the potential to be funny.

The other plot involves Olivia never paying for her part of any meal, so Abby and Davis take her out and rack up huge bills. The plan backfires when Olivia finally does pay, only she uses Abby’s money to do it.

Two best lines of the night:

Davis: Imagine if beer came out of boobs. That would combine my two favorite things!

And not five minutes later:

Zach: You should see this list of baby essentials. When is all is said and done, that single orgasm is going to cost me $450,000 dollars.

I’ll admit that this episode had me laughing out loud – for the first time since the show’s inception! How about you all, have you come around to liking the show? Let me know, and leave your Two Cents in the comments!

I loved the show from the first episode. I could’ve done without the subplot of Olivia not paying, but sometimes the “B” storylines are just there for space filler. I do think Abby is being toned down and that’s good because sometimes she is nails on a chalkboard to me! LOL
