Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Arrested Development, LOST, Community

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: The series finale of Boy Meets World. BMW was the first TV show I was invested in from beginning until the end and it was the highlight of the TGIF lineup (remember TGIF?). I remember waiting months for the finale and taping it onto a VHS when it finally aired, which I watched over and over. More recently, the “Modern Warfare” episode of Community. It’s a masterpiece and completely rewrites what can be done with a half hour sitcom.

Bio: As Kenneth Parcell once said on 30 Rock, “There are only two things I love in this world: everybody and television.” I organize my weekly activities around my favorite shows and I love discussing them with friends. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and I recently graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber, where I majored in media studies and journalism. Besides all things news and television-related, I enjoy traveling, reading, and listening to music.

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Criminal Minds, Calrisa Explains It All, Kenan & Kel

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: Criminal Minds’ 100th episode in season 5. It was the most explosive and plot twisting episode to be aired.

Bio: Currently studying Computer Science at Texas A&M Commerce. I aspire to become a computer software engineer and someday work at IBM, Apple, or Microsoft. I’m interested in all that is techy, keeping up with the latest internet memes and my favorite t.v. shows. I’m the oldest of 2 sets of twins and live in the lone star state.

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Friends, Firefly, Dawson’s Creek

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: Watching the Friends series finale and screaming at the TV “did she get off the plane?!” I grew up with those characters so, you can imagine all the tears shed that night.

briannaBio: I just graduated with a degree in PR and a love of television. Determined to make my way into the industry, I started writing about it a few years ago and love learning the way it all works, why it’s the way it is and how it’s changing. I’m that friend always handing out unsolicited prime time recommendations and answering TV questions for friends. I also have a tendency to slip references to my favorite shows in everyday conversation. I was once called the human IMDB and I totally took it as a compliment.

Pro-Social TV, lover of crime dramas and comic book movies, and comedy podcast obsessed.

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: That would have to be watching Team USA defeating Russia in the 1980 Olympics. I was 10 years old, but i’ll never forget it. And as a follow up I would have to say when Mike Eruzione called the team up to the podium to accept their gold medals as a team after beating Finland.

Top 3 Favorite Shows Currently On TV: In Plain Sight, Burn Notice, Mad Men (As I write this I think a slew of other shows I love equally)

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Alias, Psych

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: Horribly sad moment, but one that will be with me forever. The first episode of News Radio after Phil Hartman died. When they’re in Dave’s office reading the letters from beyond the grave. There’s one moment where Dave’s voice just barely cracks and you know that it’s real emotion that you’re watching. That was the first time I was really invested in a TV show.

Bio: I’m from Pennsylvania originally. Moved to Phoenix, AZ a few years ago to start college. I’m a film and media studies major with an emphasis on screenwriting. I want to write for television, although I would be happy to just be involved with any TV production. I’m a life long TV junkie.

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: It’s extremely recent, but episode 3.05 of “Louie”, “Daddy’s Girlfriend Part 2” was transcendent television that tapped every imaginable emotion inside me. It’s a wonderfully crafted half hour that took me on an unforgettable thrill ride of joy and awe.

Bio: I’m a university student, majoring in mathematics and business. Watching and analyzing sports is a prime hobby of mine. Television and writing are my creative escapes. I suppose I’m young, but I love to learn. Proudly Canadian.

Top 3 Favorite Shows Currently On TV: Mad Men, Dexter, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Flight of the Conchords, Strangers with Candy, and Freaks and Geeks

My Favorite Television Memory of All Time: The Six Feet Under series finale, which I admit I didn’t catch up with until later on DVD. Even though the later seasons weren’t as strong as the first two or so, they managed to provide one of the best sendoffs in TV history. The closing montage was especially well done, showing us a glimpse of the future and how each character ends up dying, with Sia’s “Breathe Me,” providing the perfect soundtrack. I would be surprised if anyone watched it and didn’t get at least a little bit misty-eyed. It was not only an effective way to end the show, but also very creative and appropriate given the subject matter of the series.

Bio: I’m a college student hailing from Chicago, IL hoping to one day work in the TV industry. If that doesn’t pan out I would be fine working as a writer in some capacity, which has always been a passion of mine. I also work part-time at a dog kennel, which is definitely the most fun job I’ve had to date. I’ve been a TV junkie from an early age, so it’s great to be able to report on it now.

Top 3 Favorite Shows Currently On TV: What, just three? Southland (I’m an optimist!), The Good Wife, Doctor Who

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Again with just 3? OK – Southland, Torchwood, Battlestar Galactica

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: I guess I’m aging myself a bit here, but the moment that will always stick in my mind is the finale of M*A*S*H, when Hawkeye Pierce is forced to relive the memories of his time on the bus and realizes that the woman actually killed her baby to keep it from crying and giving away their position. The writing, the acting, the raw emotion that was portrayed in that scene is something that has had a lasting impression on me as an individual, a writer and a television viewer.

bob

Bio: I am a forty-something man who lives in “Beautiful Downtown Burbank” (does anyone remember the opening to the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson any more?) about a mile from all of the TV studios, with my husband of 12 years, 2 spoiled rotten rescue cats and over a hundred tropical fish. Writing and television have always been passions of mine, which is especially strange considering I did not have any TV growing up until I was in the 2nd grade.

As a television fanatic I am the founder of the biggest fan site for the show Southland where I frequently blog about the show and have conducted 5 interviews with the cast members. When not watching, or writing about television, my husband and I own our own internet consulting company where we do development and customer service work for online businesses. Being self-employed is not necessarily easy, especially these days, but it definitely leaves plenty of room for flexibility in time management when chasing down that hot story! When not working, spending time with the family or watching the big screen, I am usually reading, mostly the same genre as my favorite TV shows: sci-fi and fantasy as well as a sprinkling of good dramatic fiction.

Top 3 Favorite Shows Currently On TV: Dexter, Big Love, Gossip Girl

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Queer As Folk, The OC

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: The first time that I saw Buffy, was the least memorable episode, “Go Fish” which was the filler episode towards the end of the second season of the show. Even that episode could not compare to what would come later, I was hooked! But my favorite memory of the show was the finale of the second season where Buffy had to kill her lover, Angel, in order to save the world from being sucked into hell. It was so incredibly well-done, and incredibly well-acted. I will watch that episode over and over and over again for the rest of time.

Bio: I’m a recent Emerson College Graduate, looking forward to a web/media career. I came to the US when I was two and learned to speak English by reading lots of books and watching a lot of television because my parents were always working. Sometimes I wish there was less reality tv and that Joss Whedon shows were given more of a chance to survive, because they’re such intelligent television.

Top 3 Favorite Shows Currently On TV: Supernatural, Greek and Burn Notice

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: The West Wing and Supernatural. I don’t need a third.

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: Watching Jaws as a kid with my father and sister, curled up on the floor with a mountain of pillows and my Big Blanket.

Bio: Born and bred in Singapore but currently residing Down Under. I’m approximately less than six months away from becoming a law and international relations graduate before diving headfirst into doing my Honours thesis. My uncle calls me a professional student. If only that was a real job. TV has become a sort of escape from the daily grind and my attachment to the shows I love is legendary. My sister and I can converse solely in quotes gleaned from the many hard hours spent enthralled in front of the tube. It’s a skill.

Life plans on the cards is a trek through Europe after graduation and then I have no idea. Hopefully it’ll come to me in a vision ala Sam Winchester!
