Bio: Brittany Frederick comes to TheTwoCents in what some might describe as an inevitable career path. Her childhood interests included Law & Order, The Equalizer, Chicago Hope, and Masterpiece Theatre. In high school, she was voted Most Likely To Succeed, and the accompanying comment from a friend was that she would be “making television history.” She took this as high praise and a vote of confidence for the future.
A lifelong sports fan, she broke into the business as a sports journalist in 2005. She is still a senior writer for eSports Media Group, where she is a poker and baseball analyst. One of her first columns was about professional poker player Phil Gordon, who was nice enough to befriend her and invited her to cover Celebrity Poker Showdown. After that, she twice auditioned for ESPN to anchor SportsCenter. This made her start to consider entertainment journalism, and the rest is pretty much history.
Since joining TheTwoCents, Brittany has covered 24, Burn Notice, Chase, Doctor Who, Eli Stone, FlashForward, The Game, The Good Guys, Human Target, Justified, Leverage, Law & Order, Life, Nikita, The Unit, Torchwood, and White Collar. She is best known for her in-depth coverage and ardent support of Human Target, which earned her the title of “president of the Human Target fan club.”
She also covers live events, including Comic-Con and PaleyFest, and contributes a number of columns on various subjects. She’s had the pleasure of interviewing dozens of personalities, including the honor of meeting two of her favorite actors, Mark Valley and Jack Davenport. She’s still trying to get an interview with Robert Patrick, with whom she’s been enamored since Terminator 2: Judgment Day in 1991.
Brittany is also a screenwriter who has written for television, film and even radio. Her current ambition is to write Jason Wiles the star vehicle he so obviously deserved after Third Watch.
