Jordana Spiro

Jordana Spiro

…Jordana Spiro, Actress

Jordana Spiro is known by TV fans these days as PJ on the TBS program My Boys which comes back to TV on July 30th!

Last December My Boys introduced PJ, a 20-something sports reporter for a Chicago newspaper, and her boys and saw them through some humorous, yet realistic, times including on-the-job romance, a dating slump, the value of honesty in friendship and uncovering secrets kept from close friends.

Jordana knocked critics and audiences out as the ditzy Sherri in Must Love Dogs. The New York Times’ “Arts and Leisure” section devoted an entire piece to her on the film’s opening weekend, and Peter Travers of Rolling Stone raved that “not since the young Goldie Hawn has an actress put a funnier, feistier spin on dumb.”

She has appeared in numerous TV shows, including Cold Case, CSI: New York and Out of Practice, as well as a starring role next to Annette O’Toole in the USA series The Huntress.

This summer, My Boys promises more poker nights at PJs, beers at Crowley’s Bar and amusing situations from the whole gang. Andy (Jim Gaffigan) will struggle with his move to the suburbs and another big bombshell from Meredith. Mike (Jaime Kaler), having exhausted every means to kill time while unemployed, strikes ups an interesting business alliance. Kenny (Michael Bunin) continues to search for love in all the wrong places. Bobby (Kyle Howard), who has comfortably settled in as one of the gang, reveals a shocking secret of his own. Brendan (Reid Scott) goes through a disturbing personality change which requires the entire group to get him back on track. Stephanie (Kellee Stewart) runs into some financial trouble this year but has better luck with dating. And more!

Jordana recently took some time out to talk with TheTwoCents and share her own TwoCents and Five Answers with us!

TwoCents: When you did your role in Must Love Dogs the media jumped all over it, loving everything you did, writing special stories about your portrayal and more. What about My Boys drew you to television after all that?

Two Cents & Five Questions With…

Craig Robinson

Craig Robinson

…Craig Robinson, actor.

We watch Craig often on NBC’s The Office as the Warehouse Foreman, Darryl Philbin. The man who is responsible for all of Michael Scott’s wonderfully incorrect catch phrases such as “Dinkin’ flicka” and “Pippity poppity, give me the zoppity.”

A very busy stand-up comic, Craig has also had roles in movies such as Knocked Up and Tyler Perry’s: Daddy’s Little Girls. Craig popped up on TV in shows such as Arrested Development, The Bernie Mac Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Recently Craig took some time out of his stand-up work to spend some time with us and share his Two Cents & Five Answers!

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

Treat Williams

Treat Williams

…Treat Williams, Actor

Treat Williams debuts on TNT tonight on the premiere episode of the new series Heartland.

Heartland is a medical drama that focuses on the high-tension world of the organ donor and transplant business. After watching an advance copy of the series premiere, I can say this isn’t just another hospital drama, there is more to it. The series also stars Kari Matchett who we’ve recently seen in 24 and Studio 60.

Treat Williams has enjoyed great success in feature films, starting with his breakthrough role in director Milos Forman’s film version of Hair, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 1980. Just two years later, he was nominated for a second Golden Globe for his portrayal of Daniel Ciello in Sidney Lumet’s Prince of the City. Williams’ extensive film credits include 1941, Smooth Talk, Dead Heat, Heart of Dixie, Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead, Mulholland Falls, The Phantom, The Devil’s Own, The Deep End of the Ocean, and Hollywood Ending. Most recently he was known as Dr. Andy Brown in the WB’s Everwood.

TheTwoCents was able to get Two Cents and Five Answers with Treat Williams!

Top 3 Favorite Shows Currently On TV: The Office, Ghost Whisperer, House

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Dawson’s Creek, Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yes, they did actually create the WB network for me. Also, this is maybe the hardest question I’ve ever been asked).

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: So many good clips to choose from! On the dramatic side, I would say a great moment of TV Magic was when Buffy jumps to her death to save Dawn. Joss Whedon is simply an amazing storyteller, and I think it’s an understatement to say that’s one of his better moments. Other incredible Whedon-induced jaw-drop would be the entire “Once More With Feeling” musical episode.

Bio: I grew up in and around Denton, Texas, where I graduated with a B.S. in Advertising from the University of North Texas. I try to keep life as interesting as possible (or I just get bored easily?), which has led to frequent moves everywhere from the beaches of New Jersey to the Netherlands. I currently live in Fort Worth, TX with a wonderfully tolerant roommate and my chihuahua, Mr. Potter (after Joey, not Harry).

Since December of 2008 I’ve been writing for ScrantonBranchOffice.com, and I’m really excited about all the new things that are sure to happen on the Office next season. Also, I can’t wait to get started on writing reviews for Ghost Whisperer!

Top 3 Favorite Shows Currently On TV: Grey’s Anatomy, Fringe, Doctor Who

Top 3 Favorite Shows of All Time: Friends, Lost, Will and Grace

My Favorite Television Memory Of All Time: I think I’d have to say my favorite television memory is of the series finale of lost. Lost was the first show that I watched regularly with friends so it was kind of my introduction to “social” TV. For the series finale, we all dressed up in costumes, decorated my house, and served Lost inspired food. It was a great, fun time!

Keith

Bio: I was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and have lived in Wisconsin most of my life (except for a few years in Colorado when I was a child) and a year in Chicago after college. Currently, I live in Milwaukee. When I’m not working (as a software trainer/technical support team leader for company specializing in social services software), I am attached to my DVR. I love television! I am a social worker and clinical therapist by training, so many of the shows I like are very character driven and show the many aspects of human life and behavior. If I can escape from the tight grip my DVR holds on me, I like to travel (do it for work and like to tack on some extra time when I can), read, write, movies, music of all types, and theater. If I’m not doing any of those things, I’m spending time with my friends and family (especially my two nieces and nephew), whom are more important to me than anything.
