TwoCents & Five Questions With…

Brian and Mindy

Brian and Mindy

… Mindy Kaling & Brian Baumgartner, Actors

We recently had the opportunity to talk with Brian Baumgartner and Mindy Kaling about their upcoming projects and about trips to Scranton they are both making soon.

My favorite part of talking with them may have been their interaction with each other. They did most of the interview for us!

Enjoy!

TheTwoCents: Okay, how you guys doing today? Thanks for being with us.

Brian Baumgartner: Thank you.

Mindy Kaling: Thanks.

TheTwoCents: It’s been almost a year since we’ve all been in Scranton and I know Mindy that you’re heading back there and Brian I hear rumors you might stop in a little bit later this month too. What are you guys looking forward to going back to see again or maybe didn’t get to experience the first time?

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

…Valarie Rae Miller, Actor

Yesterday we posted a great video that Valarie Rae Miller (Josie on “Reaper”) put together of the cast and crew of “Reaper” lip syncing to “Can’t Truss It”. (Click HERE to see the video again.) The readers sent in emails and I went direct to the source for some answers.

Here is what Valarie had to say for herself:

TheTwoCents: What “possessed” you to make this video?

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

Rainn Wilson & Greg Daniels

Rainn Wilson & Greg Daniels

… Rainn Wilson, Actor & Greg Daniels, Creator

It’s been weeks since my call with Rainn Wilson and Greg Daniels, but in celebration of the second new post-strike episode of “The Office” I’ve finally gotten around to share our conversation with you! Many of you have read the full transcript of this media session, but this was my own one-on-one(two?) part of it all. This interview was originally posted on our Office site – ScrantonBranchOffice.com.

Rainn Wilson plays Dwight Schrute on “The Office” and was seen in movies such as “Juno”, “The Last Mimzy”, “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” and can you find him in “Galaxy Quest”? He joined “The Office” executive producer/writer, Greg Daniels, to speak with the media a few weeks ago. Daniels has been a part of “The Office” team since the beginning and is also responsible for the FOX hit “King of the Hill”.

Enjoy!

ScrantonBranchOffice: Hey, welcome back guys. It’s been too long.

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

Tina Fey

… Tina Fey, Actor

Tina Fey recently participated in a conference call to promote tonight’s (Thursday, April 10) return of her award winning comedy, 30 Rock. In one of her statements, Fey mentions whom she would really like to work with:

“I still want Oprah to play my best friend. I want to spend time with Oprah and I don’t know what I need to do to make that happen. So just Oprah, really.”

In the days following, this statement spread quickly via internet news sites and even television programs. Check out these popular sites that found it worthy of their headlines:

New York Magazine: Tina Fey Launches Public Campaign to Befriend Oprah
New York Post: TINA WANTS OPRAH, BRIT
Access Hollywood: Tina Fey Wants Britney, Oprah, & a Show-mance with Peter Dinklage

My wife even called me when she saw the statement displayed on television by Pat O’Brien of The Insider. Why was this a big deal to me?

Well, the TwoCents is proud to say we are the ones who asked the question.

TheTwoCents: Hi Tina. How are you?

…Katee Sackhoff, Actor

Katee Sackhoff is known to all Battlestar Galactica fans as their beloved Starbuck! Katee and the gang returned to TV this past Friday (read TwoCents review of the premiere) to start off this final season of the show.

Katee was able to find some time to speak with our Head Writer, Jon Gus, recently and here are Katee’s Two Cents & Five Answers. Enjoy.

TwoCents: Hi Katee. Thanks so much for taking the time to speak with us this morning.

TwoCents: Ron Moore (show creator) has said that he’s not interested in doing a Battlestar feature film. Do you think you could change his mind and if so would you be interested in doing that film?

Jason Lee

…Jason Lee, Actor, and Greg Garcia, Creator.

“My Name is Earl” returns Thursday April 3rd with a one-hour episode beginning at 8:00 PM EST on NBC.

This is Jason Lee’s first work on a television series. He has starred in numerous films recently starring in “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” lent his voice to Disney’s “The Incredibles,” and starred in the cult classic “Mallrats.”

Greg Garcia also created the CBS comedy “Yes, Dear.”

Jason and Greg took a few moments to give us their TwoCents.

TwoCents: How are you both doing?

Jason Lee: Good.

Greg Garcia: Hi.

TC: Do people approach you guys telling you that they identify with the characters so much that they have made their own lists like Earl?
