Ok , this week I am going to break this down into two sections, the case and the characters. I for one am more interested in the character development than the case itself. But usually it is the case that sparks any new development with the characters, as in this case.

Call it a tax day miracle, but Matt Giraud became the first and only contestant blessed by the “Judges’ Save” this season. The judges only had two more weeks to use it anyway.

This episode had all the extra filler we come to expect on a results show ¬— such as performances by past Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson (delivered with very little passion) and Miley Cyrus. The movie preview style opening gave us a nice chuckle or two. The CGI of the Ford commercial impressed more than the singing of “Freeze Frame.” The group number of “Flashdance,” except for singers popping up in unexpected places (i.e. next to Simon), wasn’t anything Jennifer Beals would get excited about.

In this week’s installment of Guess Why Kate’s All Sad And Stuff, there was thankfully almost no Kate at all! Instead, Miles was tonight’s focus. In a flashback, we saw little Miles go into an apartment where an old man died because he can hear the man “talking,” which unsurprisingly worries his mother. Current Miles gets paged by Sawyer, who needs him to erase the surveillance tapes that show Ben being taken away.

It was a strange night on Dancing With The Stars. There was no dance-off, thank goodness. Honestly, I’m not a fan of the dance-off and it seems to be pointless. Unfortunately, though, that means there was a lot more filler.

Whoa — Quentin Tarantino gets to say the words “This is… American Idol”? Ryan must really love him. But really — Tarantino as a musical mentor? I just don’t get it. And a lot of his advice is useless. And quite unmusical. So maybe that accounts for no real break out performance this week.

Dexter’s Photoshop Massacre

By Valeria – Senior Reviewer
valeria@twocentscorp.com

At the end of last season, our favorite, cuddly, muscular, ridiculously attractive serial-killer got married to his pregnant girlfriend. He grew up!

Obviously, myself, and many rabid viewers of the show had mixed reactions to this development. But, I’m sure that everyone is eagerly awaiting the return of the fourth season of Dexter in September. No TV promos have been released just yet, but some possible promo posters have started circulating on the internet.

This poster of Dexter sitting on a chair looking both scary and sexy appears to be legit. But for all we know, it could be an old poster, or just a mock-up. The real question comes with the other promo poster.

Here, we see Dexter with a very scary baby on his shoulders. Personally, I think this baby looks more terrifying than anything I’ve ever seen, and looks awkwardly photoshopped onto Dexter. Also, I wonder if Dexter’s offspring is going to be a boy or a girl. Some people think that “fake baby” looks like a girl, but I’m not so sure.

What are your thoughts? I think the baby poster is a candidate for Photoshop Disasters.

It’s not a stretch to imagine that the scars from the World Trade Center attacks still haunt the firefighters of New York. So it shouldn’t be any less true for the characters on Rescue Me. The episode also proves that there’s more to this show than just Denis Leary. Oh yeah…and it proves the French are still easy targets, too.

Deadliest Catch
Everything on the Line

Original Air Date: April 14, 2009

One of the best (and true) reality shows kicked off again tonight, as the Deadliest Catch started its 5th season. We will be seeing cold and bad weather just in time for the Spring. Personally, I am ready to watch these brave (and sometimes crazy) fishermen do their thing. From the warmth of my comfy chair, that is.
