Where were you when JFK was shot? That seems to be the question of the hour, although I can’t quite figure out what the Kennedy assassination has to do with the death of a pool hustler, other than to get the older cast members to reminisce. In addition to these seemingly incongruous events, we’ve got some fireworks erupting with Lilly and her dad. So, everyone, grab your drinks, call your shots, and let’s get started.

I guess it’s never too late for this show to introduce the question, ”Who is this guy?” The ironic title works on a couple levels, as in Linc vs Michael vs Christina vs Krantz, with Bagwell in there just about everywhere. But in reality, it’s the initials VS, for Dartmouth professor Vincent Sandinsky. His last reaction, which closes the episode, shows that whatever he’s hiding, it’s big.

This week, Gordon starts by cooking three dishes and makes the remaining chefs choose their favorite. Then, he gives them thirty minutes to recreate the dish, without being told the ingredients. There’s always a catch whenever you taste a dish Gordon makes. Sneaky Ben tries to hide the correct liquor and Andrea looks at what everyone else is doing. Jeremy Kent is innocent. That’s how he tells it, anyway. He goes before a court to say that nearly twenty years before he was convicted of a murder he didn’t commit, almost entirely because of the testimony of his cellmate who was instructed to do so by their mutual lawyer. The court agrees that he never got a fair trial, and therefore they’re giving him his chance now.

So we’re falling into a little pattern here, each new episode beginning with a snippet of life in Leslie Knope’s little corner of Pawnee. Today Leslie is on a nature hike, a city-run pre-teen program, which used to be a teen program until one of the teenage girls got pregnant. Well, you know what they say about there not being much to do in small towns…

It is great to be back! Thanks to Kara for covering while I was gone. And what an episode to come back on. Jump the Shark. It is when a TV show does something ridiculous to boost ratings. For Supernatural, it was a way to make fun of that concept, and what a way they did it.

We see a woman running from something. She locks herself in her room, just to be sucked under her bed and disappears. We then see a picture on her nightstand of herself and John Winchester.
