The four remaining teams battle their way through Beijing, China, on the penultimate leg of The Amazing Race. With the second of only two U-Turns looming, and a task that has the racers eating exotic Chinese food (fried whole scorpion, anyone?), things could get interesting… and the race could come down to seconds (or a single poor choice, however you want to look at it).

The 2009-2010 “Infront” Presentations Start With NBC Today

171NBC is the first network to present it’s new fall ideas to the media/advertisers today. We will be following the news closely and will of course update any info we get here.

Looking at Variety this morning, some of their thoughts about what could happen today are interesting. As we reported this weekend, some shows, such as Chuck, won’t know their fate until next week sometime. Many have believed that My Name Is Earl is on the way out, yet sources say they are in negotiations for a fifth season.

What’s already safe? What’s pretty much dead? Well, Variety says:

“Peacock’s scripted skeins already locked in for next season include “The Office,” “30 Rock,” “Heroes,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “Friday Night Lights.” Gumshoe drama “Life,” from UMS, is not expected to return, nor is comedy “Kath and Kim.””

Check back soon for more info as it becomes available.

It’s the second-to-last episode of The Unit possibly ever, and we’re treated to…Scott Foley’s real-life wife making a cameo as his Russian informant. (Trivia: she’s the second main cast member’s wife to do so – Michael Irby’s wife Susan Matus has had a recurring role for several seasons now.) The word ‘terrorist’ gets thrown around a lot, and then the boys go to find…some dead people who are planning an attack, except for the one guy who’s still alive. Oops.

The Long Blue Line

Amanda – Senior Reviewer

It seems like the first episode of a two-parter always feels like one big setup for the second part, and this one was, sadly, no exception. Seemingly unrelated plot bits, Pearl Jam, and a whole passel of red herrings make for an episode that will hopefully make a lot more sense next week. We did get a pretty dramatic cliff-hanger, though…and this marks the first time in Cold Case’s long history that there is no closing montage. Weird.

Keep watching your computer for Chuck updates...

From E!: “Chuck star Zachary Levi reveals to E! exclusively that NBC will not renew or cancel beloved spy dramedy Chuck for at least another week. Cast and crew had originally expected to hear before Monday’s planned NBC “infront” presentation to advertisers.

When asked last night at an Eva Longoria Parker-hosted charity event benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles about prospects for a third season of Chuck, Levi said, “I thought we were going to hear about it this Monday because NBC’s announcing a bunch of its schedule, but I just got an email from [Chuck executive producer] Josh Schwartz, and he said stay positive, [but] we’re not going to find out on Monday. It could be another week or two. They’re making their final tallies and decisions.”
