Nate Continues to Be Gossip Girls #1 Playboy

Remember this lovely promo for Gossip Girl?

Well, now Mr. Archibald can add one more lady to his list of conquests. According to Entertainment Weekly, Joanna Garcia (from the other CW Show Privileged) has signed on to a four-episode arc as the newest love interest for Nate. She will play Bree Buckley, a nice southern girl from a conservative family that’s a slightly more evil Carrie Prejean type. It seems like Nate Archibald has a thing for Type-A girls after spending the summer with Bohemian Vanessa.

Strangers With Candy
Dreams on the Rocks

Season 1, Episode 3

Theresa – Staff Writer
theresa@thetwocentscorp.com

In the grand tradition of “very special school play” storylines, this episode has Flatpoint High putting on a production of “A Raisin in the Sun”. Since only three white students have auditioned amidst their African-American classmates, Mr. Jellineck finds it fitting that the three main roles should fall to them. This means our uh… heroine, Jerri Blank, will be playing Mama, the same role her stepmother once played in her high school heyday.

Blindsided

Guest Star: Sherilyn Fenn
Season 1, episode 8

Valeria – Senior Reviewer
valeria@thetwocentscorp.com

Sherilyn Fenn is probably best known from her role as Audrey Horn from Twin Peaks, where she became a cult icon from an infamous scene where she knotted a cherry stem with her tongue (a very popular pop culture image, I may add). She was later nominated for both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role But before Twin Peaks, Fenn did a series of B-Film, including a 1985 short student entitled Dummies with Tom Hanson Johnny Depp. The two met on that film set, dated for three and a half years, got engaged, called off their engagement, and somewhere along the line did an episode of 21 Jump Street together.
