Coming this fall to NBC are two new shows with popular names attached. Joel McHale who currently helms The Soup on E! and Chevy Chase (last seen on NBC’s Chuck) will be heading up the show Community. The plot revolves around a group of people attending community college. Joel plays a character trying to earn a legit law degree.
Parenthood‘s big names include Maura Tierney, Craig T. Nelson, and Peter Krause, playing the roles of parents trying to raise kids in a modern world, and the kids trying to cope with parents who seem like they just don’t get it.
Both shows have me looking forward to some fresh comedy, especially Community! Joel McHale has great comedic timing, and I’m hoping it really shines in a sitcom. Likewise, I feel like Maura Tierney was never allowed to be funny in ER, so I’d love to see what she can do with what should be a fairly lighter script.
