Original Air Date: July 12, 2009

Brian – TwoCents Reviewer

Well, the Entourage season premiere has arrived. It was hilarious, as always! Man, I really wish HBO had hour-long episodes! The episode was basically setting up what was left over from last season. At the end of last season, we learned that Vince Chase (Adrian Grenier) had been offered a part in Martin Scorsese’s newest movie. This shocking announcement left us on edge at the end of last season. This season begins with Vince getting his driver’s license for the movie and Eric Murphy (Kevin Conolly) contemplating an offer from his ex-girlfriend, Sloan, to by his own house. This recap/review will aim to analyze the different aspects of the episode and give a basic summary of it as well.

Merlin
A Remedy to Cure All Ills

Original Air Date: July 12, 2009

Andi – Sr. Reviewer

The lesson to be learned from this week’s episode of Merlin is that one should never trust creepy doctors in cloaks, or beetles, or random flower deliveries. Also, this episode poses some odd questions about Uther – namely how in the world that man can be fooled by the complete weirdness that is this week’s villain. And why is there so much chemistry between him and Morgana?

You know, for a tiny hick town without so much as a WalMart, Bon Temps is a hoppin’ place. It is also highly educational and full of interesting facts. For example, I had no idea that orgies included food fights, boxing and eating dirt – literally. I was also unaware that the argument over whom the first vampire was is deadlocked between Cain and Lazarus, or that Europe’s lack of divine smiting is proof that evil goes unpunished. Jeez, this episode was an existential train wreck. In the best way possible, of course.

Battlestar Galactica
Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down

#5 (Top 10 Happiest Episodes)
Season 1, Episode 9

Brittany – Associate Staff Writer
Brittany@thetwocentscorp.com

Every now and then, Battlestar Galactica had those episodes that while keeping a serious plot line around them, were actually quite light.  It’s hard to tell the difference, but the composer of the show, Bear McCreary, kept the score for this episode light and entertaining for the most part.  These are the episodes I try to hang onto, for the simple fact that they are far and few between.  So I give you my fifth choice for happiest episode – ‘Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down’.

The show opens with Jerri recapping the 46-year-old-in-high-school premise to a replanted ficus while wearing the most amazing stonewashed denim jumpsuit ever. Somehow, even in this outfit, complete with red beret, her friend Orlando still wants Jerri to ask him to this week’s Sadie Hawkins’ Day Dance. Since Jerri ignores Orlando’s hints and still hasn’t found someone available to ask, Principal Blackman approaches her about being a volunteer escort for the school’s violent special education students.
