Hell’s Kitchen
“14 Chefs Compete”

This week, it’s the conclusion of the Gordon versus Joseph showdown. As I’m sure you remember, Joseph and his inability to answer a simple question leads him to say to Gordon, “I’m not no bitch.” He also tells Gordon to buzz off (not in those words) and that Gordon’s a bitch. Now, Gordon Ramsay could blow this guy right out of the water but I think he chooses instead the mature route and simply tells Joseph in a quiet, yet dead serious voice that he doesn’t have any respect and to get out. No one’s safe though and Tony gets eliminated too.

If you’re a Torchwood fan, you’ve probably had an interesting last week.

It was the US premiere of Children of Earth, the new third series of the smash hit BBC sci-fi epic, and to call it controversial would not be out of line. Not only was it a complete departure from all that came before, but it sparked a fan reaction that then garnered a reaction from series creator Russell T. Davies, which then started another fan debacle. For those of you scoring at home, it actually seems to be two different arguments that have somehow gotten all mixed together.

Keegan-Michael Key and Brooke D’Orsay join the cast of GARY UNMARRIED beginning with the second season premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 23 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/ PT) on the CBS Television Network.

GARY UNMARRIED stars Jay Mohr and Paula Marshall in a comedy about Gary Brooks, a single painting contractor who’s trying to pursue a career in radio, and his controlling ex-wife, Allison, as they continue to face post-divorce mayhem after 15 years of marriage. He’s the fun parent and she’s the strict one. Together, they share custody of their two children — Louise, a politically correct and environmentally conscious 12-year-old, and Tom, their socially awkward 15-year-old son who is nervous around girls. In pursuit of post-marriage happiness, Gary strives to balance his eclectic world of an ex-wife, their two kids and a budding new career, all while trying to find the perfect mate.

Keegan-Michael Key (cast member for six seasons on “MADtv”) portrays Curtis, an old friend of Gary’s who works at the radio station. Brooke D’Orsay (“Drop Dead Diva”) will portray Sasha, the young, gorgeous — though slightly overwhelmed — station manager.

Oh, the dreaded kitchen challenge on HGTV’s Design Star. It always trips someone up and this season, it did so in a big way. But am I the only one who thought the wrong contestant got eliminated?

The episode kicked off with the 10 remaining designers opening paint cans. If they got a star, they were the team captains. Nathan and Amy were the lucky ones (or is that unlucky ones?) and chose teams playground style.

Holy bull-headed beastie Batman! If you thought last week’s episode was boring (*points to self*), this week makes up for it. Sookie gets nabbed, Eric’s character gets defiled further, Bill gets gross, this incredibly boring orgy storyline gets closer to being over, and Terry and Lafayette just get closer. A bunch of other stuff happens too, but it was too much to fit in the introductory paragraph, so batten down the hatches…
