Food Network Looking For New Iron Chef

Kitchen Stadium once again opens its doors to find a new culinary warrior in the sizzling primetime series The Next Iron Chef, it was announced today by Bob Tuschman, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production, Food Network. Hosted by Alton Brown (Good Eats, Iron Chef America), the reality competition premieres on Sunday, October 4th at 9pm ET/PT and will challenge ten top chefs from around the country in a series of demanding situations, testing their culinary skills and mental toughness.

“It’s thrilling to see what these ten top chefs can create when pushed to their limits in this series,” said Bob Tuschman, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production for Food Network. “These world class chefs display extraordinary culinary skills and creativity as they battle it out for the supreme title of Iron Chef.”

The cast of the new fall comedy GLEE is hitting the road this summer in search of “Gleeks” at a mall near you! Cast members Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron and Mark Salling will make appearances exclusively at Hot Topic stores in select cities across the country to sign autographs, hold Q&A sessions and give fans a sneak peek at the new season of GLEE.

Much like the caramelized potato Principal Blackman’s female companion can’t reach in the opening sequence, popularity and success is always evading poor Jerri Blank. Now paired with a new pet, Japanese chicken Suki, Jerri’s new plan is to join the debate team. Unfortunately, according to Mr. Noblet, “slim arguments come from slim hips”, and Jerri is just too fat.

After a strange pep talk from Mr. Jellineck, Jerri decides to become bulimic. Well, sort of a bulimic-anorexic pill-popper exercise freak. She gets down to 85 pounds by the time Jellineck comes over to speak to her family about her problem. Jerri’s stepmother tells him to leave and then punishes Jerri for her anorexia by sending her to bed without dinner.

His wallet makes its way to the home base of some credit card forgers, who now happen to have all his ID. Worth it, Pippin?

It’s summertime, and New York City is hot and humid. With his deadline closing in, famous crime-mystery novelist Richard Castle is working to finish his Nikki Heat novel, “Heat Wave.” The city offers a wealth of distractions for a procrastinating author, and since his 15-year-old daughter, Alexis, introduced him to Twitter, Castle has become addicted.

Castle and Alexis take off for their house in the Hamptons, and what starts as a respite for Castle turns into yet another mystery for him to help solve. And this time, he tweets his theories to his followers.

Alfre Woodard Joins CBS’ Three Rivers

Four-time Emmy Award winner and three-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner Alfre Woodard (“Miss Ever’s Boys”) has joined the cast of the medical drama THREE RIVERS, which premieres Sunday, Oct. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Woodard will play Dr. Sophia Jordan a brilliant surgeon at the top of her field and head of surgery for the hospital. She has a vast amount of experience, training all around the world, which gives her an extremely diverse point-of-view.

Woodard’s television credits include Emmy Award winning performances in “Hill Street Blues,” “L.A. Law,” “Miss Ever’s Boys” and “The Practice.” She has starred in numerous feature films including “Cross Creek,” for which she was nominated for an Academy Award, Tyler Perry’s “The Family That Preys” and “Radio.”
