This week, the chefs face a low calorie challenge. The teams must create a three dish meal—appetizer, entrée and dessert—totaling 700 calories. Both teams do well with their appetizers but the men fail miserably with their entrée and dessert. The women win and get to spend the day at Venice Beach. They even get a volleyball lesson from Olympian Annett Davis. The men suffer through a very bizarre punishment which you can read about after the jump!

CBS FALL PREVIEW will feature sneak peeks of the five new additions to CBS’s primetime schedule this fall: the drama series NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE GOOD WIFE, THREE RIVERS and MEDIUM and the comedy series ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE. Hosts Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders exchange humorous banter throughout the special, which was taped on their series’ sets, in the midst of introducing various video previews. They also utilize comical means to drive home the point that HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is moving to 8:00 PM on Mondays.

How quickly time passes on Design Star. Only five designers left after this challenge and my second favorite is gone.
This week, contestants designed the living room/dining room/office space of two military families who live on base. They had 22 hours and $10,000 to accomplish the task. One team succeeded with flying colors, despite major personality issues, and the other bombed.

After a dream involving Jane in Deb’s wedding dress talking to Project Runway’s Tim Gunn, Jane wakes up hung over. She finds Fred in the apartment, but it’s not because he finally caught Stacy – he just stayed late to clean up after her birthday party. Fred tells her that Jane didn’t drink much, and instead did crossword puzzles to relax, so she tries that out.
