House
Premiere Date: September 21
Time: 8:00 PM EST
TwoCents Reviewer: Shannon
Starring: Hugh Laurie is Gregory House, Lisa Edelstein as Lisa Cuddy, Robert Sean Leonard as Wilson, Omar Epps as Foreman, Jennifer Morrison as Cameron, Jesse Spencer as Chase, Olivia Wilde as Hadley/Thirteen, Peter Jacobson as Taub, and Kal Penn as Kutner.
Program Description: House, an innovative take on the medical drama, solves mysteries where the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients.
Where We Left Off: At the end of last season, House was being haunted by the ghost of Amber, and then Kutner committed suicide. House thought he’d detoxed himself off the vicodin and had sex with Cuddy but that was all an hallucination. House checks himself into a phychiatric hospital. Also, Chase and Cameron got married even though she kept her dead husband’s sperm as a backup. You know, in case it doesn’t work out with Chase because you always want to go into a healthy relationship with a plan b. I’m so excited for next season!

TwoCents Reviewer: Faye O
Starring: Alyson Hannigan as Lily, Cobie Smulders as Robin, Jason Segel as Marshall, Josh Radnor as Ted, Neil Patrick Harris as Barney, and Bob Saget as Older Ted’s Voice.
Program Description: A man named Ted continues to tell his children how he met their mother in very fine detail.
Where We Left Off: Ted has taken a job as a Professor of Architecture. Barney and Robin have started to toy with the idea of romance. Lily has finally returned to the show after her season 4 absence from her pregnancy, so there’s going to be TONS of Marshall/Lily love. This season seems to be shaping up to be great, especially since the “mother” is enrolled in Ted’s first class!

Accidentally On Purpose
Premiere Date: September 21
Time: 8:30 EST
TwoCents Reviewer: Brittany D.
Starring: Jenna Elfman as Billie, Ashley Jensen as Olivia, Jon Foster as Zack, Lennon Parham as Abby, Grant Show as Daniel, and Nicolas Wright as Davis.
Program Description: Jenna Elfman plays Billie, goes through a hard breakup with her boss and gets knocked up by Zack. They make a nontraditional arrangement to live together platonically and raise the child. But when Zack’s friends turn her place into a frat house, Billie isn’t sure that the plan can work out.
What We Expect: Crazy baby raising hijinks! Seriously though, it sounds like a comedy of errors, but could have a lot of potential if correctly executed.

Two and a Half Men
Premiere Date: September 21
Time: 9:00 EST
TwoCents Reviewer: OPEN
Starring: Charlie Sheen as Charlie, Jon Cryer, Alan, and Angus T. Jones as Jake.
Program Description: Emmy Award-nominated TWO AND A HALF MEN has been the #1 comedy on television for the past two seasons. It’s a comedy about men, women, sex, dating, divorce, mothers, single parenthood, sibling relations, surrogate families, money and, most importantly, love. More specifically, it’s about the lives of two brothers, one brother’s son and the many women who surround them.
Where We Left Off: In the finale episode of the sixth season of Two and a Half Men, a very pregnant Judith goes in to labor. As Herb moves to assist her he slips, falls and breaks his ankle, leaving Charlie and Alan to take care of getting them both to the hospital. Once there, Herb gets doped up on pain killers and Alan hooks up with his ex-girlfriend/receptionist Melissa, forcing Charlie to help Judith deliver the baby. Meanwhile, Mia is back in town after divorcing her new husband, and after hearing that she’s back Charlie begins to question his feelings for Chelsea. At the end of the episode Mia bumps in to Charlie at the coffee shop, and Alan is still questioning whether it was he or Herb who had fathered Judith’s baby.

The Big Bang Theory
Premiere Date: September 21
Time: 9:30 PM EST New time slot!
TwoCents Reviewer: Theresa
Starring: Johnny Galecki as Dr. Leonard Hofstadter; Jim Parsons as Dr. Sheldon Cooper; Kunal Nayyar as Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali; Simon Helberg as MISTER Howard Wolowitz; Kaley Cuoco as Penny … does Penny have a last name?
Program Description: Four physicists navigate life and relationships in their own nerdy way, and one pursues an opposites-attract relationship with his perky blonde neighbor.
Where We Left Off: The boys went to the North Pole to try to confirm string theory, while Penny continued to hide her growing feelings for Leonard. Raj and Howard still don’t know how to speak to women, sometimes literally. Sheldon continued to learn about normal social interaction, in the most annoying ways. Should be interesting when Leonard returns after three months away from Penny, and Sheldon returns – hopefully – after being the leader of a research team trapped in a small hut with him!

Consider it a tropical blend of people, culture, nightlife and, of course, the occasional killing or two. Just as you do in Vegas, come for the crime, stick around for the clues. And there’s always a clue.
Where We Left Off: Horatio was struggling to save Yelina’s life, while Calleigh tried to warn Eric about helping his father. When he did it anyway, Eric found his own life in danger.

Castle
Premiere Date: September 21
Time: 10:00pm ET
TwoCents Reviewer: Rachel
Starring: Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle and Stana Katic as Detective Kate Beckett
Program Description: Wildly famous mystery novelist Richard Castle is bored with his own success. Then he learns that a real-world copycat killer has started staging murder scenes depicted in his novels. Castle begins to shadow NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, a bright and aggressive detective who keeps her investigations under tight rein. Though they instantly clash, sparks of another sort also begin to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance.
What We Expect: When last we saw Castle, he was about to completely destroy any relationship (romantic, professional, whatever) with Kate by telling her about dirt he dug up on her mother’s murder years ago: Dirt she expressly told him not to even THINK about digging around in. I expect a brutal estrangement between the two for the first few episodes. I also expect great one-liners from Castle’s Broadway-diva mother and words of profound wisdom from his mature-beyond-her-years daughter. Oh, and finally, I expect Nathan Fillion to look hot, but I guess that’s a given.

Cold Case
Premiere Date: September 28th
Time: 10:00 EST (note new time)
TwoCents Reviewer: Amanda
Starring: Kathryn Morris (Lilly Rush), Danny Pino (Scotty Valens), John Finn (John Stillman), Jeremy Ratchford (Nick Vera), Thom Barry (Will Jeffries), and Tracie Thoms (Kat Miller)
Program Description: Cold Case is a drama about Lilly Rush, an enigmatic and highly effective female detective on the Philadelphia Homicide Squad. Rush’s instinctive understanding of the criminal mind and her singular passion for uncovering the truth makes her the perfect fit for investigating cold cases – yester-crimes that have remained unsolved, some only a few months old, others going back decades. Rush and her team use their wits to take on aging evidence and witnesses with buried memories, uncovering fresh clues, digging into old wounds and doggedly pursuing the truth. Joining Rush on her mission are a team of talented detectives: Scotty Valens, Rush’s confident and street-smart partner; Nick Vera, rough around the edges but a sharp investigator; Will Jeffries, an experienced veteran who’s been around the block; Kat Miller, the most recent addition, eager to prove her skill; and Lieutenant John Stillman, Rush’s mentor and sometime father figure. With their assistance, Rush is able to take on the toughest cases, giving voice to victims unable to speak for themselves – making sure none is ever forgotten.
Where We Left Off: Lilly is presumably still recovering from her waterlogged coma sleuthing (while the other detectives did the actual work), and is continuing to forge a relationship with her long-absent father (played by Raymond J. Barry, who will be returning this season). Meanwhile, Scotty’s relationship with Frankie seems to be at an end (at least, we all hope so), a cease-fire has been reached in the Vera-Jeffries Roommate Conflict, and Miller has accepted a date with ADA Bell.
