As if that hurdle wasn’t enough for Clark, he also met his greatest match – Doomsday. SMALLVILLE explored the origins of Doomsday, revealing a sympathetic guy named Davis Bloome, who battled an inner demon – the Doomsday character fans have loved to hate for years. When Clark wasn’t busy battling the beast, he was knee-deep in work at the Daily Planet. Last season threw Clark and Lois Lane together – literally across the desk from each other. As Clark’s persona as the cub Planet reporter emerged, so did his feelings for Lois, the fated love of his life.

Parks And Recreation
Premiere Date: September 17
Time: 8:30 PM EST
TwoCents Reviewer: OPEN
Starring: Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford, Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins, Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson, Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate, Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, Paul Schneider as Mark Brendanawicz.
Program Description: The documentary cameras follow Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler, NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” “Baby Mama”) a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana. In an attempt to beautify her town — and advance her career — Leslie takes on what should be a fairly simple project: help local nurse Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones, NBC’s “The Office,” “Unhitched”) turn an abandoned construction pit into a community park. Opposing them are defensive bureaucrats, selfish neighbors, real estate developers, and single-issue fanatics — whose weapons are lawsuits, the jumble of city codes, and the very democratic process that Leslie loves so much.
Premiere Description: When Leslie (Amy Poehler) decides to marry two penguins to promote the local zoo, she inadvertently causes an uproar when both penguins turn out to be male. Meanwhile, Mark (Paul Schneider) puts Ann (Rashida Jones) in an awkward situation when he asks her to go see a movie.

Program Description: A “docu-reality” about modern American office life.
Where We Left Off: If you’ll remember, Michael quit Dunder Mifflin to start the Michael Scott Paper Company taking Pam and Ryan with him. That was a bust and they come back to DM, Michael in his old position as Regional Manager and Pam in sales. In the last episode, Michael is reunited with Holly and they accidentally spill the beans at the company picnic that there will be widespread layoffs. Pam sprains her ankle playing volleyball and inadvertantly finds out she’s pregnant! This is going to be a great season, I hope!

Program Description: This Stripes-inspired comedy is about a group of misfits attending the Greendale Community College. The focus group of the Community is lead by a lawyer with a revoked degree.
What We Expect: NBC has promoting this show extremely heavily, and the same commercials we’ve been seeing over and over again still make us chuckle, so that has to be good, right? We’re expecting this show to fit right in with The Office, Parks and Recreation, and 30 Rock on Thursday nights.

Bones
Premeire Date: September 17
Time: 8:00PM EST
TwoCents Reviewer: Karen
Starring: Emily Deschanel- Temperance(Bones), David Boreanaz- Booth,Michaela Conlin- Angela, T J Thyne-Hodgins,Tamara Taylor- Camille, John Francis Daley- Sweets, Eric Millegan-Zack
Program Description: Brilliant, but socially inept, forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence Brennan works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington DC. After consulting for him on a FBI case, she is approached by cocky yet charming ex-Army Ranger turned Special Agent, Seeley Booth to help the Bureau solve crimes by identifying human remains that are too far gone for standard FBI forensic investigations. However as their case load increases the symbiotic partnership produces results and with the support of Brennan’s Squint Squad.
Where We Left Off: We left off with Booth in the hospital after having brain surgery. He had a tumor that was causing some of his hallucinations throughout the season. Through the help of Sweets we are aware that our main characters like each other…not just like, but like like… you know what I mean? But the big problem is, that Booth wakes up from surgery and does not know who Bones is. Oh Jeez, waited 3 seasons for them to get together and now he doesn’t know who she is.

Fringe
Premiere Date: September 17
Time: 9:00pm ET
TwoCents Reviewer: Rachel
Starring: Anna Torv as Agent Olivia Dunham, Joshua Jackson as Peter Bishop, and John Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop
Program Description: FBI agent Olivia Dunham teams up with a formerly-institutionalized scientist (Dr. Bishop) and his morally ambiguous son (Peter) to investigate crimes of the unexplained that border on the fringe of real science. Each crime and each investigation seem to point to a larger picture… a pattern somehow connected with a global science research and development firm: Massive Dynamics.
What We Expect: When last we saw the Fringe gang, Olivia was taking a meeting with Spock (er… Dr. William Bell played by Leonard Nemoy) in an alternate universe where September 11th hadn’t happened, Walter had disappeared, and Peter? Well, he’s not who even he thinks he is. If you take your alternate son from your alternate self in an alternate universe, is it kidnapping? Did I mention my brain blew up watching that season finale? Well, it did. Season two promises more questions than answers, I’m sure. But I’m totally OK with that.

The Vampire Diaries
Premiere Date: September 10
Time: 8:00PM EST
TwoCents Reviewer: Zeba Blay
Starring: Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore, and Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore.
Program Description: This fall ‘The Vampire Diaries’ capitalizes on the increasingly lucrative fascination young women have with all things vampire. It tells the story of seventeen year-old Elena Gilbert: a pretty, popular straight A student who has recently lost both parents in a heinous car accident. At school, she falls in love with a mysterious new stranger named Stefan who, unbeknownst to her, happens to be a vampire. But don’t worry, he’s the “good” kind. Meanwhile, Elena must navigate her way through the never ending soap opera that is high school whilst strange and violent attacks occur in and around the town of Mystic Falls. And as if things aren’t crazy enough, Damon, Stefan’s brother (a “not so good” vamp) appears with his eyes set firmly on Elena.
What We Expect: Leather jackets, smoldering looks, disturbingly perfect jawlines and a love triangle of epic proportions. This show has all the makings of an ultimate guilty pleasure, offering up vamps who fangirls the world over can fantasize about to their hearts’ content. Though only slightly edgier than the Twilight franchise, we think it’ll offer up just the right amount of romance and teenage angst that will make it a good alternative for audiences who aren’t into the grittier vamps of ‘True Blood.’ Get ready for drama!

FlashForward
Premiere Date: September 24
Time: 8:00 PM EST
TwoCents Reviewer: Caitlin
Starring: Joseph Fiennes as Mark Benford, John Cho as Demetri Noh, Jack Davenport as Lloyd Simcoe, Zachary Knighton as Bryce Varley, Peyton List as Nicole Kirby, Dominic Monaghan as Simon, Brian F. O’Byrne as Aaron Stark, Courtney B. Vance as Stanford Wedeck, Sonya Walger as Olivia Benford and Christine Woods as Janis Hawk.
Program Description: What would you do if you were given a glimpse of the future? Would you accept what you saw and live life to its fullest, or would you do everything in your power to change your destiny? When the world’s population is given a glimpse of their future, it forces everyone to come to grips with whether their destinies can be fulfilled or avoided, in ABC’s exciting new drama, “FlashForward.”
What We Expect: ABC expects this show to be the next “Lost”, and given the early response, it could be poised to do so. There should be plenty of intriguing-and possibly confusing- storylines, the kind where you could easily miss something important if you miss an episode. Still, given the interesting plot, the cast, and the reviews from those who’ve seen the pilot, this should be a very promising series. We start out on day one, where everyone on Earth blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds, and sees their lives 6 months in the future. They then try to deal with the immediate consequences of the blackout: car crashes, patients dying in surgery when all their doctors collapse, and what everyone does- or doesn’t- see before them.

Program Description: A drama centered on the personal and professional lives of five surgical interns and their supervisors.
Where We Left Off: Izzie and George meet each other as the elevator doors open. Are they dead? Is one of them dead? Is it a delusion? We’ll find out in the season premiere, I’m sure. Hopefully we’ll also find out how some of the big couples (Meredith and Derek, Mark and Lexi) will progress in their relationships. If Izzie does die it should be interesting (or depressing) to see how Alex copes.
