TTC: NBC has been talked about as kind of a sinking ship with the ratings and tsuch. They’ve been really hyping up Community. Does that put more pressure on you guys to really deliver?

People Never Truly Die On Lost

Two of the show’s popular characters seem to be coming back to LOST for the final season.

From EW: “Ian Somerhalder [Boone] phoned EW this morning to chat about his role as Damon on The CW hit The Vampire Diaries (look for his answers to reader questions on Thursday), but thanks to his apology for calling 25 minutes late due to the security at an airport in Atlanta, where the show films, being very, very thorough, we found out that he’s about to shoot Boone’s final-season return to ABC’s Lost. “I’m literally getting on a plane in 45 minutes to fly to Hawaii,” he said. “The only thing I can say is that I’m going back for several episodes….I have a script that weighs like 200 pounds, but I don’t really know what’s happening.”

From ScifiWire: Dominic Monaghan, who played the ill-fated but fan-beloved bassist Charlie Pace on ABC’s Lost, confirmed that he’s talked with series co-creator Damon Lindelof about returning for the show’s sixth and final season, which kicks off in early 2010.

Devil In The Dollhouse

Ray Wise, the best part of “Reaper” as the Devil, is joining the cast of “Dollhouse” according to EW’s Ausiello:

“Dollhouse has tapped spooky-cool Ray Wise to join the cast in the potentially recurring role of Howard, an intelligent higher-up in the Dollhouse who has huge presence and humor.

Wise is coming off of a two-year stint as Lucifer on The CW’s Reaper. Of course, to me, he’ll forever be the dude who offed Laura Palmer.

Dollhouse, which kicks off season 2 a week from Friday, is amassing quite the impressive talent roster this season. In addition to Wise, upcoming guest stars include Jamie Bamber, Keith Carradine, Alexis Denisoff, and Summer Glau.”

… Henry Gibson, Actor

From THR: Henry Gibson, a wry comic character actor whose career included “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In,” “Nashville” and “Boston Legal,” died Monday at his home in Malibu after a brief battle with cancer. He was 73.

Gibson’s breakthrough came in 1968 when he was cast as a member of the original ensemble of NBC’s top-rated “Laugh-In,” on which he performed for three seasons. Each week, a giant flower in his hand, he recited a signature poem, introducing them with the catchphrase that became his signature: “A Poem, by Henry Gibson.”

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

… Jane Lynch, Actress

Jane Lynch plays the egotistical, hyper-competitive and abrasive Sue Sylvester, coach of the Cheerios, on Glee. Her lines are often the funniest and most shocking, as Sue looks down on everyone, but especially on the Glee Club.

Recently TheTwoCents caught up with Jane.

TTC: Your character gets to say some truly awful, awful things. How important is trust for you as an actor with the writers and producers that everything that you say will end up looking okay? How much do you have to trust the people on the show?

Sons Of Anarchy – Recap & Review – Small Tears

Sons of Anarchy
Small Tears

Original Air Date: 15 Sept 2009

Tom R. – Sr. Staff Writer
tom@thetwocents.com

That’s tears, as in rips or lacerations, not fits of crying. Funny, though, how the episode is just as much about people coming together as it is about those barely noticeable rips in the fabric of family and loyalty.

The small town feel is captured beautifully by this show’s writing. Just as they do in small towns, people come together in Charming out of need, even when there is no logical reason for them to even be in the same room. We saw it in last season’s finale, where Hale and Jax talked about growing up together while delving into Opie’s innocence and Donna’s real killer.
