Welcome back to the town of Mystic Falls, where messed up stuff happens. Last week, the series opened with an unsuspecting couple getting murdered by a blood-thirsty vampire. This week, the series opens with an unsuspecting couple getting murdered by a blood-thirsty vampire. It seems the makers of the show are hell-bent on proving to viewers and critics alike that the monsters on Vampire Diaries actually do kick ass, but I’m still not convinced.

Hi kids! Did you miss me? No? Well I missed you!

Cold open: Michael and Dwight and Andy come flipping in the office doing what can only be described as sub-par Parkour. For their final act, Andy goes jumping off a roof into a refrigerator box. That ends about as well as you can imagine.

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

amy poehler

…Amy Poehler, Actor

Last night we saw the season two premiere of Parks and Recreation on NBC. Amy Poehler stars as Leslie Knope, a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation department of Pawnee, IN. Amy took some time to speak with us to talk about the new season and her character.

Q: In your first group of episodes you guys were of course compared to The Office the way the show was shot and everything. Do you hope that goes away this second season, you kind of become your own show and not under that shadow?

11:30 AM on a Tuesday, and we’re back in Paddy’s Pub, named last season as “The Worst Bar in Philadelphia”. If you’ve never been through these doors before, it’s kind of the anti-Cheers. No one knows your name, no one cares what your name is, and they would probably force you to change your name if they ever learned it. Amoral, politically correct, and the funniest thing on television.

Look out… Survivor: Samoa (insert Girl Scout cookie joke here) may have the meanest, most diabolical, jerkiest Survivor Castaway EVER. That’s saying a lot when you’re in the company of Johnny Fairplay and Coach. Already I want to slap the guy. If he stays around, it’s gonna be a long season of me yelling at the TV. Seriously.

I’m beginning to think that Coach Sylvester is going to be my favorite character on Glee. She does all the things we think about doing but would never really stoop to.

Let’s start with her plans to break up the Glee Club.

A Quick TwoCents Message From…

bobby ray shafer

Bobby Ray Shafer, Actor

The Office starts its sixth season tonight at 9:00PM EST on NBC. Known as the ensemble show of all ensemble shows, The Office spotlights so many different characters and amazing actors. One of them, Bobby Ray Shafer who plays Bob Vance – Vance Refrigeration on the show, is a good friend of us here at TheTwoCents and has sent a message to our readers on his thoughts of the start of the 6th season.

“It’s astonishing to me to see the #6 associated with a certain little-comedy-that-could, but here we are once again, and thank goodness there’s more zany Dunder-Mifflin antics in store and not a moment too soon. It was Socrates who said: “that time flies, ” and I think we all know that it’s true. And it was Michael Scott who said: “You have no idea how high I can fly;” and I think that also applies to this show and our fans. Thank you for all your love and support over the last five seasons and we’ll do our best to keep the love and laughter coming right back at ya! Lets the games begin! And enjoy!”
