OK, I checked into my favorite little Glee factory last night and what did I get? Some big, dark issues.

Yes, there are plenty of laughs as well. What else can you do when the entire football team starts getting down to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” during a football game?

Yet in this song-lite episode, it’s the big issues that are going to make a lasting presence on the show’s characters. Teen pregnancy. Infidelity. Coming out. Friendship-ruining career ambitions. Corporal punishment. Department politics. Possible unemployment. And Coach Sue isn’t the only one to be blamed this time — although that’s usually where the trouble begins.

Hell’s Kitchen
6 Chefs Compete

Original Air Date: Sept 22, 2009

Kara – Sr. Staff Writer

This week, it’s the infamous taste it and make it challenge. Gordon pairs up the remaining six and they’ve got to recreate Gordon’s dish just by tasting it. It’s Van and Ariel, Tennille and Kevin and Dave and Suzanne. Poor, poor Dave. Kevin and Tennille forget to put calamari on their dish, making Dave and Suzanne the winners. Suzanne kisses up and brags and Dave shhes her. When Gordon reveals the fruit in the dish is passion fruit, she sickeningly says, “I know, Chef. I know.” Oh, man, I’ve had enough of her.

This week, Suzanne is put on the men’s team and the men outright tell her they don’t want her. In the challenge, the chefs must make three entrees using ingredients flown in from British Columbia and they can’t use any ingredient more than once. The men veto Suzanne’s ideas and then women have trouble realizing the lamb is really venison. Sasha Cohen and Jonny Moseley judge the dishes. Who wins? I’ll let you know after the jump!

It’s been a nice long time since we’ve had a trio of witches on television, hasn’t it? I’ll be completely honest, I’m skeptical of shows like this. I don’t normally get into them, so my expectations were so low they were touching the ground. So, how did I like this series opener? Let’s recap and then find out.

It’s been a long summer for viewers, but Old Christine picks up right where it left off. Barb has been carted away, New Christine is nowhere to be found, and everyone is heartbroken. In other words, just the happy start to the season we expect from this show.

Tonight, the wedge between Riley and Jonah grows, Taryn Manning is twelve kinds of hilarious, David plays mindgames with his father, and Violet continues to creep me out.

Previously on Melrose, they killed off the most interesting character! Although, I am heartbroken by Sydney’s death, I am slightly comforted by the fact that a) she’ll still appear in flashbacks and b) she already faked her death once, so… there’s hope! Also previously, we learned Ella likes Jonah, Jonah’s marrying Riley, and Riley sucks. In other news, Lauren has taken to whoring to finance med school and Violet believes she is Sydney’s daughter.

Finally! Finally the season premieres are here and it starts off with a bang just the way it ended last season. It has been just a few months since we saw that season finale but never the less this was a much anticipated premiere. We ended last season with Ziva and Tony emotionally further apart then ever before after Tony killed Michael Rivkin, Ziva’s boyfriend.

We’ve all seen it — the wife standing by her man as his political career goes down the toilet over some sex scandal (yes, John Edwards, we’re thinking about you). And we ask one question: What the hell is she doing supporting her lying, cheating, no-good man? Is this a country song waiting to happen, or what?

First, let’s just recap where we left off: Gibbs and McGee hooked up with the LA crew to work a case during last season of NCIS. At the end of “Legend,” Chris O’Donnell’s character, “G” was shot several times on a street corner.

Today’s episode begins with the LAPD involved in a high speed car chase which results in a gun fight and one dead Naval officer. We find out that G has recovered quite nicely from his attack, and ready to go back to work, a month early in typical macho NCIS fashion. I’m amazed that people at NCIS love their jobs so much, that they can’t wait to get back to work (remember NCIS and Tony’s early return after recovering from the plague?). I love my job too, but if I got time off, better be sure I’m not going back to work early.
