Well, so we’ve been waiting all summer to find out if Mike is marrying Susan or Katherine. Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait long at all in the season premiere to find out it is Susan! But of course, things don’t go smoothly, and Katherine interrupts the wedding. But we have to wait to find out if Katherine makes a spectacle of herself.

Welcome back to another week of what I’m now calling ‘confusion under the surface’. It’s all very cut and dry at first glance, but there are so many layers to this show you can peel them back for days. In the interest of keeping the recaps from being sixteen pages long, I go straight for the surface plot, but in the comments? Let’s go buck wild, kids. Peel back all the layers, and see what we’re left with.

High Top Fade Out

Original Air Date: Sept 26, 2009

This week’s episode of Psych gives me something that I don’t believe I’ve ever seen in all my years of loving TV: a bike chase. You’ve seen one car chase, you’ve seen them all, but this is a new level of cool. The bike rider is being chased by a couple of very intimidating guys. He gets just enough of a lead to get back to his apartment, hook up his digital camera, and send an email. Then the scary guys catch up to him and it’s lights out, bicycle man.

So there’s a dead guy named Tanner in a college parking garage stairwell. He’s a campus drug dealer, or he was before someone shot him a few times. Welcome unceremoniously to the record twentieth season of Law & Order.

Honestly I never expected that there would be a second season, I really believed that Dollhouse would be axed last year. But I was proven wrong when they where renewed and I was really happy to see this show get another chance. The thing is that Dollhouse now has to prove that they are worth the chance they received.

First New Show CANCELED Already!

photo: cw

From Yahoo: “The Ashton Kutcher-produced series “The Beautiful Life,” a scripted drama about the seamy side of modeling, is the first casualty of the new fall TV season. After airing only two episodes, The CW announced Friday it was pulling the series starring Mischa Barton and that production had ceased.

The debut episode lost about 60 percent of the audience of its lead-in, “America’s Next Top Model,” while the second episode only attracted 1 million viewers. For now The CW looks to be filling the newly vacant timeslot with encores of the revamped “Melrose Place,” a show also receiving dismal ratings. One hit the network does have is “Vampire Diaries,” which has been performing well and continues to build its audience.”

So, what’s your Two Cents? What show do you think could be next? Weak numbers for Accidentally on Purpose and Parks & Rec and some others may lead it to go byebye!

This weeks episode was about the Jeffersonian team in danger of losing an intern due to lack of funding. Dang!…even Bones is feeling the economy crunch! Like I said last week, it is all about the characters. The trust that funds Wendell’s scholarship ran out of financing and therefore he will lose his internship. Now if you remember, Wendell is the cute blonde guy that thought Brennen was hitting on him in his first episode. Cam hesitates to tell him about the scholarship, so she can find other options.

It’s a monster-of-the-week episode, people! And if you enjoyed Decent, or the first 20 minutes of Jeepers Creepers, or (dare I say it?) The X-Files episode “Home,” then you’re in for a treat… and a little nausea!

Supernatural
Free to be You and Me

This episode gave us some big shockers as Sam and Dean, and provided a lot more questions to be answered. The brothers have gone their separate ways and began living life without the other. While they are apart, their lives are similar as they are both working (Sam in a bar, and Dean hunting). After a hard day’s work, they both have to clean up (Sam, the bar, Dean, the Impala after killing a vampire). Dean uses his fake Id, as Sam burns him. It is sad to see them, but maybe something good will come of it. Like the very funny friendship that Dean and Cas share in this episode.
