While this episode has Penny being trained like a dog, and Sheldon at his most wryly playful, all the reason you need to watch can be summed up in two words: Goth. Wolowitz.

Ok, maybe that’s for the girls. For the guys, we have Sheldon waking up to a dancing Penny in his kitchen, clad only in one of Leonard’s shirts (one of the few that doesn’t exist solely under a hoodie).

When I do my recaps, I typically take notes throughout the episode and refer back to them to do my write up. Alas, we couldn’t have a Hiro-less episode for the rest of the season, so imagine my dismay when I looked down and realized I’d already taken half a page of notes just on him! Thank goodness the same thing happened over and over again, so I could cut it down.

My best friend and I have Sunday night date night. We watch Amazing Race for fun times, Desperate Housewives for laughter (usually) and Brothers & Sisters for family drama (and sometimes comedy). But last night, our night was changed a bit. Over on DH, Susan gave a speech to Lynette about being a mom. I’m not a mom but even I was bawling. I knew from last week and previews Kitty was going to get bad news on B&S. Unfortunately, our date night lineup changed a bit and we didn’t get to watch B&S. When I got home, a friend’s Facebook status read: “Sally Field you old hag why’d you have to be so good!” I knew I was in for a great episode when I saw that. And it delivered!

So in keeping with last week’s format, here we go…

Well my friends, it’s that time of year. Our boys are leaving us – and leaving each other and parts of their lives behind. Vince is leaving LA to do a movie in Italy. E wants to leave the single life and win Sloane back. Jaime left Turtle for a job in New Zealand (and left him period!). Drama left acting. And Ari has plans to leave everyone in the dust when he takes over Terrance’s agency after the buy out. Oh, did I mention we also get a super angry (and HILARIOUS) Matt Damon and Bono? BONO! On Entourage!! This show sure has come a long way since Mandy Moore being the big guest star.

It’s sad when Murphy’s Law attacks one team at every turn, causing confusion and costing time. It’s funny when it’s a team you would love to see eliminated. This time, though, I don’t think it was Murphy’s Law… it was just a case of Lack-of-Common-Sense-itus. That and something I’ve said a thousand times: when you get a clue, READ IT.

Theeeee….Simp-soooooons! Well, okay, not really, but this week’s victim does share a surname, and a hobby, with everyone’s favorite cartoon mischief-maker. In addition to solving the murder of a New Jersey teenage skateboarding prodigy, the detectives grapple this week with budget cuts, and Scotty plays detective…with his mama.
