Linda Purl, Actress

The wedding we’ve all been waiting for has come and gone. However, if your DVR didn’t cut off the last 30 seconds, you saw a little piece that shows where the story lines could be heading. Part of that story line includes Helene Beesly – Pam’s mom.

Helene is played in the Niagara episode of The Office by TV veteran Linda Purl. Linda’s just released her latest CD titled “Out of This World – Live,” and features Desi Arnaz, Jr. performing a duet of the song “Forever’s All We Know” and will be performing at an assortment venues throughout California over the next few months. Linda’s full performing schedule acan be found on her official website at www.lindapurl.net.

Recently our Office themed spin-off site, ScrantonBranchOffice.com, was able to catch up with Linda so she could share her TwoCents about being a part of The Office Universe with our readers. Enjoy!

ScrantonBranchOffice: Could you please tell our readers a little about yourself and how you got your start in “show biz”?

The Hollywood Reporter is saying it’s all over for Southland!

“It’s the end of the road for drama Southland, which has been canceled before the launch of its sophomore season.

Production on the John Wells-produced cop series is being shut down after six episodes.

Southland, from Warner Bros. TV, was originally slated to debut in its new Friday 9 p.m. time slot during premiere week, but in August, NBC opted to push the start to Oct. 23 and air Dateline NBC in the meantime.

Dateline NBC will now continue to run in the Friday 9 p.m. hour.

It is not clear when the six produced new episodes of Southland will air.

Bradley Whitford Coming Back To TV

This article is saying our friend from West Wing and Studio 60 is heading back to TV!

“Bradley Whitford has been tapped to star in Jack and Dan, Matt Nix’s new 13-episode series for Fox.

The straight-to-series hourlong project is produced by Fox TV Studios under the company’s international co-production model.

It centers on Jack, an ambitious, by-the-book cop who is partnered with Dan (Whitford), a drunken, lecherous, wild-card cop who hangs onto his job only because of a heroic act years before.

Last week on the Vampire Diaries, Jeremy and Vicki hooked up, Stefan and Elena hit a major roadblock in coupledom, Damon’s manipulative games came to a screeching halt, and the authorities of Mystic Falls seemed to know more about those strange “animal attacks” than they let on.

Office Wedding Dance Video

Here is, in my opinion, one of the best all around Office scenes in the history of the show. Everyone is involved, it shows how much they all really do like each other, the looks between Jim and Pam are classic, the joy on Michael’s face and it’s just SO predictably cheesy that it’s a homerun for the crew in The Office. What did you guys think?

Violet is still on edge and keeps hiding in the closet, dropping things, hyperventilates. She doesn’t hold the baby, leave the house or anything. Pete is supposed to go back to work and he is weary of doing so because of these things. Because Violet is a psychologist, she diagnoses herself and knows how to handle her situation – so she says. She refers to it as “crazy head.” Addison and Naomi still aren’t really talking much, besides talking about shoes and avoiding real topics. Sam can’t get over the Naomi thing either and he and Addison have a pact to avoid the topic. Coop is avoiding Violet and their situation. Lots of avoiding things in this episodes.

Ah, another one bites the dust, and Irina takes this time to preen about how she’s better than everyone else and everyone must want to knife her. I mean, I’m not biased against her at all!

Apologies for mixing up a name last week- the FBI’s person of interest is in fact D. Gibbons, not Gimmons. This week starts with the phone conversation that we left behind in the last episode, and Demetri isn’t having much luck getting details about his coming murder. We then jump across the world to a prison in Munich, Germany, which is likely about to become very significant, and then back to Mark’s home. He and Olivia talk until Aaron shows up, which Mark lies about because he’s telling him he thinks Charlie might be in danger.

Guest star alert first…Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe from 24) has been racking up some impressive, quirky characters lately, most notably the Art Garfunkel fetishist on Flight of the Conchords. Here, she’s cousin Gail, aka “Gail the Snail,” complete with an annoying saliva noise. Disturbing but effective.
