We open on the crime scene in Deerfield, California. A middle aged man in an expensive suit is dead from blunt force trauma and they have to find out whodunit. His identification, phone, and valuables are gone, but his Bluetooth device for his cell phone remains. Jane, ever the pragmatist, pulls it right out of the dead man’s ear and voice dials “Home.” Upon reaching Gordon Hodge’s wife this way, he hands it over to Lisbon. “It’s for you” indeed.

If you don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy, then the reason for Dr. Bailey’s visit to CA makes no sense to you. You should really go to the Grey’s Anatomy recap section, but for a quick overview … Bailey has a patient who needs a kidney transplant and she’s going to LA to do it because that’s where the sister of the patient lives and the sister is giving her the kidney. There ya go. As a Grey’s fan, I love the opening with Bailey’s gossip run down of Seattle Grace. And pitting her against Charlotte King in the first few minutes? Love it.

Can someone explain to me what the hell was going on in tonight’s episode of the” Vampire Diaries?” Bueller…Bueller? A lot of drama went down in the town of Mystic Falls this week (so bear with me), especially between our lovebirds Stefan and Elena. Badboy Damon, however, manages to once again infuse the show with a dizzying cocktail that is one part sex appeal, one part twisted humor, and a whole lot of messed up. So let’s get to it.

30 Rock
Season 4

Original Air Date: Oct 15, 2009

Laura Kelley – Associate Staff Writer
laurakelley@thetwocentscorp.com

Season 4 got off to a funny and slightly nauseating start: Jack, Liz, Jenna and Tracy sat eating Cheesy Blasters, some sort of ungodly combination of hot dogs, pizza, and undoubtedly a great deal of shame. Jack thinks the show might be suffering because Tracy has lost touch with his roots. To help out, Jenna agrees to make a country album. Hey, being fat worked for her, so why not go the full Jessica Simpson route and make one? It worked for…well, no one, but you get my point.

Last week opened with a fake out of a flashback to the blackout (Try saying that three times fast). This week’s opening, despite the pleasant music, is not misleading us. A bus crashes into a lake in the park. Everyone, being unconscious, drowns- except for a foreign woman and a young man who acts as though the world ends every day. He helps calm down the woman and they both escape out a window. In present time, Olivia is treating him at the hospital, and he tells her that he saw himself walking around in leather pants. Also, he was black.
