In the upcoming episode, Detective Curtis will be reunited with his former “boss” Lt. Anita van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson). “Law & Order” airs Fridays at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on NBC.

Okay, I have to do one thing backwards. NEXT WEEK, TOMMY IS BACK! I can’t wait. I really can’t wait! Can you tell I’m a bit excited? I love Tommy and Julia and I think Balthazar Getty is an amazing actor and thought it was a shame he was let go because of his personal life and I think it’s an even bigger shame that just because now he and his wife are working things out he is let back on the show (I love celebrity gossip, can you tell?). Wow, sorry about that long run-on sentence. But either way, Tommy is back. All the Walkers are going to be together finally! I can’t wait until next week. Woohoo!

Over the seasons, Cold Case seems to have developed a formula for murder. The victim is either a) shot, b) shoved off something tall, or c) bludgeoned with a Random Convenient Object, and the doer is either a) the Change-Fearing Best Friend, b) the Caught-In-The-Act Authority Figure, c) the Jilted Lover, or d) the Jealous Second-Rate Talent. Above all, it must always be The Person You’d Least Suspect. This week, the show shakes it up by featuring all four Doer Stereotypes in the same episode. Guess they gotta be creative somehow.
