This week’s episode got off to a funny start when Jack gave Liz a Chinese copy of Dealbreaker written by “Lesbian Yellow Sourfruit.” Oh, how I love Engrish translations. Since it’s the robot actor’s first day, Kenneth sings a slightly terrifying welcome song while Jack asks Liz to dinner. Showmance? We’ll see.

Last week, Al Gough committed suicide in an attempt to save Celia, the woman whose future death he believed he was going to have a hand in, and to prove that the future could be changed. If nothing else, he achieved that second goal, so it’ll be interesting so see how that dynamic plays out in future episodes- and what it means for everyone.

Annie manages to recruit Jeff to the debate team with the help of the Dean who promises him a parking space. At first, Jeff decides to wing it since he used to get paid for arguing with people. Up against their rivals however, he turns the debate into American Idol and is only awarded eight points. Actually, the eight points went to Annie, and their rivals get 50 points. After some taunting, Jeff and Annie decide to actually study and debate the crap out of the other team the next day.

Glee – Recap & Review – Wheels

Glee
Wheels

Original Air Date: Nov 11, 2009

Wow — did you ever think you’d feel warm fuzzies for Sue Sylvester? Me neither.

But with this eppie I sure did. And in true Glee fashion, we were kept waiting for her reasons for being nice to a student with Down’s until the final minutes. It was worth the wait.

But first, let’s get rollin’, cause this was one packed week. When Will suggests the club hold a bake sale to fund a bus to sectionals that Artie can use, the kids say they’d rather Artie’s dad just take him. A disappointed Will then makes them all use wheelchairs three hours a day to learn what Artie’s life is like — and they’ll do a number in the chairs as well (“Proud Mary” with Artie and Mercedes).

Andi – Associate Staff Writer

This week, Dillon serves up several signs of the apocalypse: Coach takes advice from Tim Riggins (Advice! From Tim!), Julie decides that church is lame, FNL went there with the race issue even though they made such a big deal about not going there in season one, Matt’s storyline is kind of – gasp – dull, and Coach lied to Tami for the second week running! Plus, Tim’s crazy fangirl gets even crazier and Landry likes a cute girl who likes Landry back!

First off, I need to beg you all to start watching Gary Unmarried more. It is in trouble and may be canceled. This show is GREAT. It’s funny, has a family aspect, not over-the-top and you actually get invested in the characters (although the writers do sometimes forget that we care and randomly forget to mention certain people, but meh, it happens). I was a bit skeptical at first when it started, but now, if it gets canceled, I have no idea what I will do with my half hour of time on Wednesdays at 8:30. I just don’t.

Okay, I’ve said what I wanted to say. Now as for tonight’s show, the previews showed Gary in a nighty. How he gets there? Let’s find out together!

Nip/Tuck
Abigail Sullivan

Original Air Date: Nov 11, 2009

Tom R. – Sr. Staff Writer
tom@thetwocents.com

This “deeply superficial” series has always been at its best when it takes the gruesome or the ridiculous and draws a parallel to something normal or poignant.

Case in point this week is Abigail Sullivan, a concert pianist with a parasitic twin in her shoulder tissue. She absorbed the twin while developing in the womb, and her mother never allowed her to part with it. For an upcoming performance, Abigail wants to wear an elegant, sleeveless dress, but in order to do that, she needs to get rid of “Moira”.

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

Headshot-compressed

barry sigismondi

…Barry Sigismondi, Actor

Ah, the Five Families of the Scranton Business Park… they can be kind of intimidating. Downright scary, if you ask me. But that couldn’t be farther from the truth when it comes to the sweet Barry Sigismondi who plays family member WB Jones.

Our Office spin-off site, ScrantonBranch Office.com, got a chance to ask Barry some questions about his Office experience, his new role on Parks and Recreation, and what TV shows best represent American television.

ScrantonBranchOffice: Could you please tell our readers a little about yourself and how you got your start in show biz?

Barry Sigismondi: I’m working on my third life. I was an executive at Xerox Corp and then started an air freight business. After six years I sold that business and was looking for the next challenge. A friend was doing extra work in a film and suggested I get involved. Reluctantly I sent in a photo and contact info but was never called.
