This week we have to deal with the invasion of Phoenix into the Mode offices. Natalie and Bennett Wallace won’t let anyone near Daniel, and have an influence on Daniels business decisions. Amanda wants to ask out Matt, but wants to keep it a secret from Betty. Wilhelmina is becoming more careless in the way she dresses now that she is no longer working at Mode and Conner is dead. But don’t worry; Marc won’t let it get too far!

Peter Burke is not having a good day. He – and Neal, and The Hat – get called into the boss’s office to talk about an undercover agent dealing with the Chinese Mafia who disappeared. The boss wants to send Neal undercover to find the missing agent. Sounds simple, right?

Of course not.

The title for tonight’s episode of Monk says it all. The only thing going for fans of the show, like myself, is that it’s a two-part finale and we’ll have one more after this one. (I’m doing the best I can to cheer myself up… can you blame me?)

The Top 5 Things I Learned from the Unnecessary Survivor 19 Mid-Season Clip Show

5. The Caught the Escapee Chicken! Erick took it upon himself to catch that runaway chicken that Shambo lost. In fact, he became obsessed with it. He spent hours running after that thing, only to realize that “you have to be smarter than the chicken.” Duh. Finally, with an elaborate trap made of the fishing net, several branches, and some bait, the best plain was laid. While he was away fishing, Shambo noticed the chicken under the big top and sent the net down, redeeming herself (a little) in the eyes of Erick when he returned.

Glee – Recap & Review – Hairography

Glee
Hairography

Original Air Date: Nov. 25, 2009

Patricia Morris Buckley – Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

Hairography: The art of distracting the audience from the music and dancing by swinging your hair around. Think “cool epilepsy,” says New Directions’ hairography expert, Brittany (who also said last week that a ballad was a kind of duck).

And so the theme of this episode, distraction, was introduced and then beat over our head. Again and again. All right — we get it, already!

Gary Unmarried – Recap & Review – Gary Keeps a Secret

Gary Unmarried
Gary Keeps a Secret

Original Air Date: Nov. 25, 2009

Farrah Kaye – Associate Staff Writer
Farrah@thetwocentscorp.com

I have a confession to make: I’ve got a thing for single fathers. I love watching a man take care of his children, cutting their food, tying their shoes, wiping away their tears. It just gets to my heart. Maybe that’s why I love Gary Unmarried so much? Despite his relationship failing with Allison, Gary truly loves his children to his core. So when I read the info screen for this episode and saw “Sasha contemplates having more than a working relationship with Gary,” I went HUH?! Sasha’s fun and Gary obviously likes her, but can you really see her as Louise and Tommy’s stepmother? Yah, me neither. Do I think she and Gary bring out the best in each other? Definitely. But sometimes you can’t have it all.

Nip/Tuck – Recap & Review – Alexis Stone II

Two potential patients look for the same surgery as Alexis (Alex) Stone returns from the previous episode. According to IMDB, Alex is played by Candis Cayne, and it’s a little unclear there whether Candis is a creation of a female impersonator or actually a transgender. Either way, it’s a fascinating thing to see someone playing both sexes convincingly. The show has had transgender characters before, but they were always women at the time.

So You Think You Can Dance – Recap & Review – 2 of 12 Voted Off

So You Think You Can Dance
2 of 12 Voted Off

Original Air Date: Nov 25, 2009

Rachel M – TwoCents Reviewer
rachelm@thetwocentscorp.com

The opening number is kind of like “The Wiz” on acid, but crazy and fun. I’m surprised to hear that it’s a Tabatha and Napolean routine, as they usually do more straight concepts. It’s on to the results and the eliminations, who makes it into the top 10? I’m not that happy about it – are you?

TwoCents and Five Questions With…

…Rashida Jones and Chris Pratt, Actors

Season 2 of Parks and Recreation has really hit it’s stride, thanks in part to Ann and Andy, played by Rashida Jones and Chris Pratt. We had a chance to chat with the two about the sophomore season, working with Amy Poehler, and just how close they are to their alter egos.

TheTwoCents: When the Parks and Recreation first premiered, critics were a little bit mixed on it but now everybody seems to be really high on the show. Did you kind of feel that coming into the filming for Season 2 that maybe things were a little sharper or just that things were clicking a little more?

Well, I’m sure by now we’ve all heard: Eastwick has been canceled. However, hopefully, ABC will let us see all of the remaining episodes before yanking the chain. I’m not happy with this decision, and I plan on being very vocal about it. YOU HEAR THAT ABC??
