Sue Sylvester
Glee
September 16, 2009

TTC: At the end of the day, what do you think is Sue’s real problem with the glee club?
JL: Well, they want to use her power because she reigns supreme over that school and over that particular group, and she smells their hot breath on the back of her neck, and she wants to stay as top dog, and they definitely are threatening that.

Dear TV Claus

To: TV Claus
From: Rachel B

Dear TV Claus,

My wishes are few this year, but very important… which seems to me to negate the entire naughty/nice thing. So whatever list I’m on, I’m sure you’ll agree these wishes must be granted post haste.

1. Please invent a device through which the audience can yell things at those tiny little people in the talking box. Whether it be “Are you kiddin’ me, Leno?!?” or “Why do you hate Toby so much?” or “Seriously, Ben, he’s playing you like a fiddle and he’s NOT Locke!” or “Have you contestants even SEEN Survivor?!?” or my personal favorite “Nathan Fillion: I love you!!!”

2. Make everyone from The Hills universe go away. This wish also encompasses all peripheral Hills-related train wrecks (I’m looking at you, Kardashians). I would also like Matt Parkman to go away (as he is just as cardboard), but that’s another letter entirely.

Dear TV Claus,

I’ll let you decide the “naughty or nice” part,-but I offer these humble requests:

1. Please give all my friends copies of the extra special Christmas episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, in stores today.

2. Since Dollhouse was canceled please develop a new show IMMEDIATELY for Dichen Lachman (Sierra)

3. Can we get Topher reassigned to Fringe Division?

Do not adjust your TV set. Doctor Who really is back in a burst of TV static, as the TARDIS lands on Mars, circa 2059, for his next big adventure. He’s about to run into the crew of a research facility, who would like to know what the heck he thinks he’s doing. He really just wants to have fun. Honest.

Glee Guest Star Update

photo: people.com

Idina fans – hold your happiness.

Kristin fans – get excited!

It was recently announced that Idina Menzel would be arriving the Glee set as the rival glee club adviser, with rumors of her being Will’s love interest and possibly Rachel’s mother. However, while Idina did meet briefly with co-creator Ryan Murphy, nothing was signed.

What was signed is another episode for Kristen Chenoweth, who will reprise her role as McKinley High alum April Rhodes. Her episode will air in the spring, when Glee comes back from a nearly four month hiatus.

To read more about the two Broadway stars and their (potential) roles on the show, head over to people.com.

Dear TV Claus

Dear TV Claus,

As you know, in addition to being very, very, very good this year, I also grew an entire person and then spent the better part of two days encouraging said person to enter the world! Therefore, I think it’d be awfully nice of you to bring me the following for Christmas. I’ve classified them by show to make it easier for you.

For Cold Case
1. Relegate Lilly Rush to a supporting character. She’s not that interesting. In fact, she’s usually whiny and annoying. She is an awesome detective, and I love her when she’s being a cop, so let her do more of that, and nix the personal stuff. Like I said, not interesting.
2. Along those same lines, ditch the Lilly/Moe story arc. People are allowed to be out on bail, and even if they did try to kill you in the past, if they’re not actively stalking, threatening, or doing anything to you now, just leave them alone. Anything Moe does to Lilly now will be provoked, if not actively encouraged.

The Top 6 Things I Learned from Survivor 19

6. Jaison: Poor guy… he’s NEVER been on a Reward… The Challenge was simple: pull ropes out of a woven net without releasing the coconuts balanced on top. Like Survivor Jenga. The Reward: a feast at a local village. Finally, Jaison is on the team that wins! Back at camp, he starts gunning for Shambo, especially when Brett wins Individual Immunity. Jaison feels like Shambo isn’t helping at all and that if they want a shot at Brett, they need Mick (the OTHER name being tossed around for elimination). I think he’s right. Besides, Mick is cute.

The Mentalist – Recap & Review – Throwing Fire

The Mentalist
Throwing Fire

Original Air Date: December 17, 2009.

Liz – Associate Staff Writer

Filthy rich baseball talent scout and agent Barney Sloop was found bludgeoned to death in his zen rock garden on the property of the baseball academy named from him. He scouts teenaged boys from all over the world who then come with their dads to Sloop Academy in order to be sold — I mean, signed off to the highest bidder. Just as Jane deciphers the rock map in the garden, an errant baseball from the team warm-up beans him in the head, knocking him over — thus giving us our plot device for viewing flashbacks.

Wow. That’s my one word review right there. Reactions to this episode seem to be all over the map and some have said this episode bored them, but luckily for you guys, I was not one of them. I fell into the opposite end of the spectrum. I was hooked through the whole thing. Even the part of me that thinks Reid has been through enough torture, thank you very much, wasn’t bothered by what happened to him. Well, I was bothered, but in the way that I should be, not in the ‘I’m going to start throwing things at my screen if they don’t stop heaping on the Reid angst’ way.

Dear TV Claus

To: TV Claus
From: Jeff L
jeffl@thetwocentscorp.com

Dear TV Claus,

I’ve been a mediocre boy this year and I’m hoping you can make some of my television wishes come true! Here’s my list:

1. Make the networks stop canceling good shows, just because average people only want to watch angry British people yelling at fat/clumsy Americans.

2. Make David Simon’s (The Wire) new project good even though it is starring Steve Zahn.

3. More V, please.
