My Two Cents – They Aren’t Heroes To Me Anymore

heroic enough for dvr?

Patricia Morris Buckley — Staff Writer
pmb@thetwocentscorp.com

Last night my DVR forced me to make a major decision. I can record only two shows at a time and I had programmed it for The Big Bang Theory, Fringe and Heroes. One of them had to go.

It wasn’t that hard of a decision. Quite frankly, Heroes has been “on the bubble” for me for some time. Lately, I noticed that I watched everything else on my DVR until Heroes was the only thing left. Sometimes, I even had a build up of several episodes.

Saying “good-bye” to a show isn’t easy. I had already parted with one at the beginning of the fall season. My husband isn’t a fan of Grey’s Anatomy and it was difficult for me to watch it when he wasn’t home – or the kids. So I watched it online. This year, I just forgot to do that… and haven’t regretted it at all (Gizzie, then Denny the Ghost just ruined it for me, quite frankly).

Two Cents & Five Questions With…

jackson

Randy Jackson, Reality Judge

(Note: This interview happened before Simon Cowell announced that this season would be his last).

The Two Cents: Do you get frustrated with all the bad singers in the auditions?
Randy Jackson: I do get a little impatient with it. These people must watch the show. What are they seeing that I’m not seeing?

TTC: What do you think about Ellen DeGeneres joining the judges table?

I know a lot of people were disappointed in last week’s episode. I liked it, but was frustrated that it didn’t move the story forward at all. Things are a bit back to normal (as normal as life can be on Wisteria Lane) this week. Here’s the gist of what went on.
