During the winter hiatus, two Gary-related things happened to me. First, I realized why I love Uncle Mitch so much. He’s one of the Old School / Will Ferrell / Jeremy Piven guys. He was even in The Hangover. I kept thinking he looked so familiar and there was his list of my favorite movies on his imdb.com profile. And he also did a stint on Saturday Night Live. Heyo! The second thing was the Gary Unmarried episodes they aired. A throwback to the times when Dennis was Gary’s best friend instead of Curtis. I have to admit, I like Curtis better but I would love to see the three of them together. I also had never one of the the episodes (Gary and the Trophy) so that was fun, too. It made me really appreciate the Gary we have today. And on that note, on to the newest episode.

But good ‘ol Wilhelmina, will have no part of it. So to get back at Betty, Willie makes her wear the stilettos and walk a mile. That’s just crazy, no woman could do that! The one-hour drama series TREME will launch its ten-episode first season on HBO in April, it was announced today by Sue Naegle, president, HBO Entertainment. From David Simon (“The Wire,” “Generation Kill,” “The Corner”) and Eric Overmyer (“Homicide,” “The Wire”), the show follows musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians and ordinary New Orleanians as they try to rebuild their lives, their homes and their unique culture in the aftermath of the 2005 hurricane and levee failure that caused the near-death of an American city.

The Runway Job

Brittany Frederick – Staff Writer

It amuses me that when I first started writing about Leverage, no one had heard of it. Now here we are halfway through the second season, and every other commercial on TNT is for the show (the other half may be for Southland) and it’s become a huge hit. I must have good taste… but I still watch Masterpiece Theatre on PBS, so maybe it’s just that this is a really, really good show.
