Waiting for your shows to come back? Looking for something to do with your weekend and there’s not a good movie on? Never fear, TV fans. Actors from some of your favorite shows have been busy – on the silver screen. There are plenty of underrated TV actors in quite a few relatively unknown movies out there, and many of them are pleasant surprises. If you’re looking for something new, take a look at these three movies you may have missed with a few faces you might be missing.

The Mentalist – Recap & Review – Rose-Colored Glasses

A double homicide in Rancho Rosa, California brings the CBI team out of the office — minus Rigsby. Since Lisbon has promised Grace more time in the field, Rigsby is riding the desk on this one. They are investigating Selby and Jana Vickers, husband and wife who were found murdered. With the clues of a “borrowed” dress, an opened bottle of alcohol in the back, and lack of a present, Jane deduces they were headed for a fifteen year high school reunion. I am personally shocked that there was only one bottle of booze.

Not exactly continuing from the crossover, we still must remember the events that occurred previously with our friends at Oceanside Wellness and that other practice where Naomi, Pete and Sheldon work (Pacific Wellcare?). Coop and Charlotte are fighting, Violet still isn’t mothering Lucas, Dell’s wife died while cooking meth and he wouldn’t let their daughter say goodbye, Addy and Sam have been getting uber close and that about sums it up. Now, onto the sort of crossover…

Well hello there, fellow Seattle Grace lovers and friends. Tom is busy this crossover week so I’m here to fill in. For those not familiar with me, I’m Farrah and I cover Private Practice. So if you were one of those fans that followed Addison to Oceanside Wellness then you know me well. If not, then hello new friend! My style is a bit different than Tom’s. While I appreciate his time line and commentary, I’m more of a storyteller and will insert my comments (sometimes snarky ones!) in the middle.

Bones – Recap & Review – The X In The File

The X in the File

Original Air Date: Jan 14, 2010

This week I have to admit, that I really liked the case itself, that the squints were working on. A body is found in New Mexico, by a man who is looking for aliens. He stumbles across a body that…well…looks very much like an alien. Booth and Bones take a look at it and confirm that it is human. They want to take it back to the lab, but the sheriff says the body has to stay there. Just then the body’s cell phone rings (the ringtone is the theme song to the “X Files”) so cool!

30 Rock kicked off its midseason run with two fantastic episodes, easily the funniest of the season. In the first half hour, Jack obsesses over a drunk message he left his unrequited love, Nancy, while Liz is stuck watching her cousin Randy after outing him on New Years. Jenna has meanwhile entered into a fake relationship with James Franco to cover up his secret love for his Japanese body pillow, and we learned that Tracy’s wife is pregnant. Who would’ve guessed?

Whoa, did this new season sneak in through the back door or what? Or maybe I’m still in a holiday-induced coma. Either way, Project Runway is back with a vengeance for its seventh season, the second since its move from Bravo to Lifetime. After a largely forgettable season (who won again?), let’s see if they can crank it back up to eleven.

Everyone’s back from vacation! Britta went to Amsterdam (she thinks) and Pierce started a t-shirt printing business. Jeff walks in and after joking that he doesn’t want to be there at all, he says he is going to be a new man. Then Buddy (Jack Black) appears, and says he’s been there all along. After everyone says they don’t remember him he explains that he understands everyone’s nervous about having a new guy in the group but he feels like he knows everyone already. No one is really digging it.
