In case you missed it Sunday, or again on Tuesday, now – and not even in the right time slot – is the “official” series premiere of Human Target. With an actress I can’t stand in it. My brain hurts already.

This week, we’re hanging out in an Irish pub. I’m having a flashback to Leap Year, which makes me daydream about Matthew Goode…um…excuse me. Where were we again? Right. The proprietor of the pub has recently died; there’s a wake for him and a loan shark is there to collect the debt from his daughter in as evil and nasty a way as possible. So not Leap Year.

Conan Preps His Exit From Tonight Show

conan's hitting the road

Amazing guests are signed up for tonight and tomorrow, as Conan O’Brien gets ready to say farewell to his 7 months as host of The Tonight Show.

Thursday, January 21: Robin Williams and musical guest Barry Manilow
Friday, January 22: Tom Hanks, Will Ferrell

Ferrell was Conan’s first guest on The Tonight Show, so he will bookend the run of Conan. Conan can’t be back on the air as a host until September, but don’t fear for Coco, he’s going to make a pretty penny by walking away and giving The Tonight Show back to Jay Leno.

The Hollywood Reporter has info on Conan’s severance plan.

“The deal, expected to be announced Thursday morning, is worth a reported $44 million. According to The Wall Street Journal, O’Brien is getting $32 million from NBC, with the network also agreeing to pay his staff $12 million in severance.”

Are the folks at FOX and FX looking for Conan’s number now?

Well here we are for the original second episode of my new favorite gritty cop show with my favorite former bad-guy-turned surfer (kinda). Last week’s show totally exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to see what tonight brings. If you haven’t noticed, I was not one of those people that got to watch the original episodes air over on that “other” network. My DVR got full before I headed on a 10-day vacation and certain shows had to be deleted. This was one of them. So I thank TNT for knowing that I needed this show to be brought back to life badly. Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming…

Perhaps inspired by Lucy coming back in December, this week sees the return of another lost love: Mr. Harris! This, of course, presents the dilemma of choosing between Eric McCormack and Blair Underwood. Though I have a feeling they’ll both be gone soon enough.

TwoCents & Five Questions With…

sheridan

…Kevin Sheridan, Writer/Actor

Kevin Sheridan wrote and starred in TheTwoCents.com’s movie pick Leaving Barstow. He’s also been seen on such TV shows as Without A Trace, Veronica Mars, and The Closer. He sat down with me to talk about the experiences of making his first movie and the future of independent film as we know it.

Believe it or not, Kevin never set out to be a writer. In fact, he didn’t even want to star in his own movie – he didn’t want it looked upon as a star vehicle – but when his name kept popping up in regards to the male lead, Kevin rose to the challenge. And it was one heck of a challenge, he says: “My name was all over everything.”

White Collar – Recap & Review – Hard Sell

White Collar
Hard Sell

If you’re a fan of White Collar, chances are you’ve been sitting around all hiatus with one thing nagging at the back of your mind: did Peter really betray Neal? Thankfully, we’re about to find out.

The show sports a spiffy new title sequence for the back half of the first season. I’m not sure if I’m sold on it, if only because it reminds me a bit much of the one for Leverage, which this show gets compared to sometimes. Don’t ask me to pick which one I like more; that’s like deciding between children. But enough about that…
