SNL Celebrates Sports

“Saturday Night Live” premieres a new sports compilation, “SNL Presents: Sports All-Stars,” on Sunday, January 31 from 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm ET.

The two hour special will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte in character as “ESPN Classic Commentators,” “Pete Twinkle” and “Greg Stink.”

“SNL Presents: Sports All-Stars” will highlight SNL appearances by iconic athletes such as Peyton Manning, Derek Jeter, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady and Charles Barkley.

Jimmy Kimmel welcomes Harrison Ford, who delivers the late-night host a very special anniversary gift; Kristen Bell, who discusses her new movie, “When in Rome”; and Silversun Pickups will perform on the Bud Light Golden Wheat outdoor stage at on Tuesday, January 26 at 12:05 a.m., ET on ABC.

NASCAR Season Starting Early On HBO

Although the NASCAR season doesn’t start until February, tomorrow night on HBO, the 24/7 series will air its first episode of 24/7 Jimmie Johnson: Road to Daytona. The four-part series will take an in-depth look at the famous No. 48 team as it prepares for the Daytona 500 on February 14th. Episodes air at 10 PM on HBO starting tomorrow.

Before the Daytona 500, FOX will air the 2010 Budweiser Shootout at 8 PM ET. The Shootout is the first event of the season and will be called by broadcasters Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip from Daytona International Speedway.

Survivor And Amazing Race To Return – AGAIN

CBS has ordered more editions of its Emmy Award-winning reality franchises-SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE-for broadcast in the 2010-2011 season.

SURVIVOR will return with two more editions, marking the 21st and 22nd installments of broadcast television’s longest-running reality competition series.

The series’ 20th edition, SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS, premieres with a special two-hour episode on Thursday, Feb. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS reunites 20 of the most memorable, heroic and controversial castaways from previous SURVIVOR seasons.

My Two Cents – Farewell to Conan O’Brien

Well, the time has come. Actually, it came and went and I’m just a few days late. In the blink of an eye, I went from not caring too much about late-night television, to hearing rumors, to DVRing all the shows every night. What turned into a late night addiction became something more to me. I realized I had been missing out on something wonderful for the last seven months. I used to watch The Tonight Show when Jay Leno was the host but never stuck around for Conan after. I’m an old lady and I need my sleep! I didn’t really know his style except for when he wrote on Saturday Night Live.

The team is soon called out to where the body of Martha St. Claire was uncovered at the site of a complex development — at the groundbreaking, in fact. Awkward.
