Who Are Your Favorite TV Couples?

is love in the air?

Valentines Day is just around the corner and even though many of us would sooner pop in a West Wing DVD marathon than think about it – it does pose an interesting question.

Who are your favorite romantic couples in TV history?

We’re not talking the best friends, the best cop partners, the best buddies – we mean romantic. Married, dating, unrequited love, etc.

We want YOUR TwoCents on the subject.

Email us at Couples@TheTwoCents.com and tell us your top THREE favorite all-time TV Romantic Couples.

For Valentines Day we will release the list of TheTwoCents’ Staff picks and the list of reader’s favorites!

Remember, these are your FAVORITE, not necessarily best, but the ones you LOVE to root for!

Southland
See The Woman

Original Air Date: Jan 26, 2010

Farrah Kaye – Associate Editor

So we’re almost halfway through season one. Kinda weird, huh? And the unrated season one DVD is also available in stores, which kinda makes watching it on TV, with all the bad words bleeped out not so fun, but it’s free on TV, so that’s where I’ll be watching it! If you’re ahead of me and have seen all seven episodes of the season, don’t spoil it for me, ok? 🙂 Thanks! With that, on to the show.

Castle – Recap & Review – The Third Man

The Third Man

Original Air Date: Jan 25, 2010

As much as I enjoy the witty banter of Castle, its predictability is becoming troublesome. Find victim. Introduce random character in brief interview segment, usually a family member. Chase false leads for remainder of hour. Loop back around in last ten minutes to random character who gladly confesses. Will it shock you now if I tell you that last night’s episode was completely formulaic?

Damages – Recap & Review – Your Secrets Are Safe

Damages
Your Secrets Are Safe
(Season Three Premiere)

When you create a mystery, the goal is to get your audience to ask as many questions as they can, as soon as possible. There are, of course, the obvious plot questions. But when there is an unrelated event, especially in the mysteries created by the Damages writers, the question becomes whether anything is ever unrelated.

Case in point: The first new character we meet is not a member of the Tobin family, but musician Julian Decker (Keith Carradine), a musician who approaches Patty Hewes in a restaurant.

It’s hour five, and I’ve just noticed David Anders plays a terrorist (not a surprise) without an accent (surprise). While I’m being amused by this, psycho Renee is trying to convince Jack she’s not psycho (not a surprise) and Jack is the voice of actually throttling back for once (surprise). Day 8 is apparently the season of turning things against expectations and seeing what happens.

Big Guest Stars for 30 Rock Valentine’s Day Episode

photo: picture perfect

He gave love a bad name and now he’s heading to 30 Rock. If you don’t get it, Jon Bon Jovi (“You Give Love a Bad Name”) is heading over to the hit NBC show for a special Valentine’s Day episode. The episode will bring together Fey’s character Liz with several old flames, which includes Bon Jovi.

Also joining him are Dean Winters as Dennis Duffy, Saturday Night Live’s Jason Sudeikis as Floyd, and Mad Men’s Jon Hamm as Dr. Drew Baird. The storyline has Floyd competing for a free wedding on The Today Show and Fey is working on trying to get some of the anchors to make cameos.

Shooting began this week in New York.

At the carnival, everyone’s kind of on edge since Samuel brought forth the destruction of an entire town. He gets into it with Lydia because she doesn’t trust him anymore, and everyone is looking up to her for their next move. Samuel decides he’ll do whatever he has to, to get back in the family’s good graces, which I’m assuming will mean things get worse before they get better.

Chuck – Recap & Review – Chuck Versus First Class

Chuck
Chuck Versus First Class

Original Air Date: Jan 25, 2010

Jeff L – TwoCents Staff Writer
JeffL@thetwocentscorp.com

The Ass Man (Morgan) strolls the halls of the Buy More as one employee after the other tries to avoid his watchful glare. He makes his way to the breakroom, where he uses a handy oven mitt to open the red hot door handle. I guess the Nerd Herd are still in payback mode for Morgan shutting down the Buymoria fight club. It seems the Ass Man can’t even get himself a cup of coffee without having to worry about some sort of harmful laxative replacing his cream and sugar. Morgan sees Lester sitting in “his” chair and demands he move. Lester, moves and Morgan slides into the seat, not realizing Lester was just hovering and not really sitting in the chair full of super glue. Looks like Morgan is going to need a bodyguard.

Move over reality television – scripted TV is back!

After what felt like years of all reality TV, all the time, the scripted shows are coming back with a vengeance. Pilots are being picked up and doing well.

Mercy was just picked up to finish its 22-episode season, Trauma will return after The Jay Leno Show ends, and more shows have been picked up for more seasons, like the successful How I Met Your Mother, which just inked a deal for at least three more seasons.
