Long time, no see: we open with Neal spending time with the lovely June, his landlady, and her granddaughter. June’s granddaughter has kidney problems and is ill, so Neal volunteers to help however he can. This involves walking into Peter’s house in the middle of breakfast, so he can bring Peter the information about the scam that’s being run on his landlady: her granddaughter’s been suspiciously bumped off the transplant list, but could get back on for a price. Peter is willing to take the case, and Neal sets off to crack it.

So, before I begin this review, I must mention something. It is something personal but known to most of my NASCAR buddies out there. Yes, I love NASCAR. I live it, I breathe it, I schedule my life around it. I have my favorite driver (not Jimmie Johnson) but Jimmie Johnson’s crew chief, Chad Knaus, is my favorite person in all of NASCAR. Possibly, in all of sports. He might even top Derek Jeter for me. Yes, I said that. Did I? Gosh, I did. Chad, to me, is the Jon Bon Jovi of NASCAR. He lives the 48, he loves the 48…HE IS THE 48. And without Chad, there would probably be no Jimmie Johnson.

This week boasts one of the most boring patients ever. Seriously. I mean, I know the Super Bowl is this weekend so there’s a tie-in but I could not have cared less about the patient. There’s a clinic patient that we’ll get to in a bit that would definitely have made a better main story line. Trust me on this.

So, for those who don’t know me (which by this point is hard to believe!), my name is Farrah and I cover pretty much every genre of TV show, tell you how your shows are doing in the ratings, and sub wherever I am needed. This week I have the pleasure of recapping one of the funniest Big Bang Theory episodes in a long time. Never in a million years would I have thought I would see Lisa Simpson, a pit of balls (BAZINGA!), roller disco, and Sheldon working at the Cheesecake Factory all in one place. Want to know how that all comes together? Keep on reading …

Every time my brother watches anything with animals, he will ignore the plot to comment, “I hope nothing happens to that dog.” Happy to report that unlike previous episodes, the dog is fine.

Patty’s personal life is on display this week, as she and Phil squabble about who keeps the apartment. The divorce mediation brings up some ugly incidents from past seasons. When Patty finds a bottle of brandy that was a gift to Phil from former French Prime Minister Mitterand, the two settle down for a more leisurely chat, with Phil admitting that taking care of their dog made him reconsider their life together. Patty, however, remains committed to the divorce.
