This show is the perfect source of comic relief for the middle of the week! I laughed the whole time. It must be a mixture of the actors, characters, and storylines, but whatever it is; ABC did it right this time around.

Is there a conspiracy between American Idol and Michael Castro, AKA Jason Castro’s little brother? He’s made it to Hollywood Week for the last two years and barely scored any airtime (total maybe one minute). And this week, when his group came on stage, he was the only one who didn’t get his name in a banner below his face when he sang. In fact, it seemed as if they cut his section out completely.

So it was no surprise that he didn’t move on. What gives?

Leverage – Recap & Review – The Three Strikes Job

Leverage
The Three Strikes Job

Baseball is the best sport ever, in my book. Baseball being involved in a Team Leverage con? Awesome.

However, we open with one heck of a shooting, and Nate turning up at a hospital to meet the victim’s wife. It turns out that he knows the guy in the hospital – a cop whom he’d worked with before. That makes this personal, and Nate will do whatever it takes to get the guy responsible. Even if it’s The Dresden Files’ Paul Blackthorne.

Human Target – Recap & Review – Run

Human Target
Run

I fall in love with this opening sequence a little more each week. This week, we’re being introduced to a bridge that was previously used in La Femme Nikita (I think) and the Cigarette Smoking Man. That’s right, William B. Davis is on Human Target, antagonizing stereotypical blonde tough-girl DA’s. Lots of people start shooting at each other and so she goes running to Chance and Company. Chance is unimpressed.

Since The New Adventures of Old Christine operates on sitcom time, things are moving right along with New Christine and Richard’s baby. Christine is jealous of this and wants her own baby. Remember last time, when she wanted Richard to get her pregnant? Yeah.

New Christine is with her doctor, played by Tim Meadows, about to see this first image of her baby.
