It’s family dinner time. Ben is there, so is Sarah. Nicki strolls in and she is wearing a wicked sexy outfit. Maybe she’s finally ditching her weirdo roots. Ben asks Sarah how her trip to Portland (I think it was Portland?) with Scott was and she drops the news that her and Scott are moving to Portland… Sarah and Scott didn’t go up there for a honeymoon it was for a job interview. Meanwhile, Bill is learning that politics is a tricky game… Barb tells him about Marilyn’s scam creating problems so that she can solve them. Barb comes clean about hiring Marilyn behind Bill’s back. He’s pissed and Bill FIRES Barb from the casino! BOOM! Bill goes upstairs to tell Nicki that- SURPRISE- his brother killed her Dad, Roman. But Nicki strolls out in a sexy negligee but it’s kind of not the right time. Nicki expresses her difficulties conceiving. Bill doesn’t actually tell her about the Roman thing.

Malcolm and Addy are working together again, more brewing romance? Cliff and Susan continue to work out their issues. Beth and Liam are in a relationship bliss zone. It’s the last show, how will it turn out?

Dylan and Beth are working with a kid who’s being prosecuted for a nude pic on his phone, which is wrapped up awfully quickly, but of course it gets more complicated. From child pornography to sexting to distribution to 30 years in jail. The boy is facing serious charges and jail time, come to find out that the girl/victim is the one who sent the picture to another guy and caused all this drama.

Pre-Credits — Actually, let’s hit the previouslies first. The show is fooling around with the narrative it’s already shown us. They show the clip of Parvati talking about having made an alliance with Russell but cut it off before she mentions how she knows he’s full of it, which is an important part of what Parvati said.

The Heroes are back from voting Stephenie out on Night 6 and Tom and James, without saying they apologize, apologize but clearly don’t mean it. In a solo-view, Tom explains that James still sucks. We don’t get James’s thoughts on Tom since he was probably still saying “one voice” over and over.

I had several weak singers all picked out to be eliminated—didn’t you? But none of them was Joe Munoz, who did a good job with “You and I Both.”

And I would have placed a huge bet that Tim Urban would be saying “bye bye.” He couldn’t hit the high notes in “Apologize,” and half the song was high notes!

I just don’t get it.

Farewell Andrew Koenig

koenig

After missing for days, and friends on Twitter and on the news pleading for his return, actor Andrew Koenig has been found dead in a park in Vancouver.

The man best known for playing Richard “Boner” Stabone on Growing Pains was the son of Star Trek actor Walter Koenig.

EW had Walter’s statement: “My son took his own life,” the elder Koenig said Thursday at the emotional press conference. “He was obviously in a lot of pain.” A police spokeswoman said that the department’s investigation will continue and that a cause of death will not be released at the moment. No foul play is suspected.”

I always remember the episode when he played Editor Webb in Our Town on Growing Pains. He had his lines on a tape recorder in his suit jacket. I played the role in high school and always wanted to try it.

My Two Cents – Criminal Minds Spin-off Disaster?

JD – Associate Staff Writer
jd@thetwocentscorp.com

A lot of you who follow Criminal Minds may already know that there’s a spin-off planned. If you didn’t know, you do now. The characters are going to be introduced in an episode this season, just a few episodes after the show comes off of its Olympics hiatus. To tell you the truth, I’m far from excited about it.

The team on the new show (which still doesn’t have a name, by the way; how crazy is that? Even Criminal Minds was called Quantico before it was put on air!) is a group of profilers that work “outside of FBI bureaucracy”. Sounds a lot like the A-Team, doesn’t it?

In our weekly flashback, Little Shawn attempts to write a book report on a book he’s only read part of. Henry lectures him on the importance of gathering information, but what could go wrong? Well, you could fast forward twenty years and find yourself accusing the wrong man of murder, which is what we find Shawn doing in the middle of a pizza parlor.

Henry gives him a tip that he’s got the wrong guy, and Shawn immediately turns around and accuses another guy, who confesses. He plays it off as though he planned that, and it’s convincing enough for one Walter Snowden, who offers him and Gus a job working on a think tank.

“Where does it come from? This capacity to forgive? How do you do it?”
“How do you not?”

As Nip/Tuck heads toward its grand finale, the writers find an amazing storyline in the Kriegers, with a terrific performance from veteran actor Harold Gould.

Edith and Walter arrive at the McNamara/Troy offices with tattoos from concentration camps. They want the tattoos removed, but their daughter feels the marks are historically significant, Movements exist that claim the Holocaust never happened, and the numbers are the most tangible proof.
