What started as shaky ground for the show Parenthood has, in my opinion, turned into a fantastic casting decision. When Maura Tierney unfortunately left the show to focus on her health, Lauren Graham was cast instead and I couldn’t see it any other way now. She delivers a strong and funny performance and personally, I’m just relieved to see her on my TV again. Now, how about the rest of the show?

Aaaand we’re back. My goodness, that felt like forever – I need my BBT fix! I forgive you though, CBS, because Raj’s soundtrack shirt was one of the best running gags ever! Really, who among us has not dreamed of making an entrance to the tune of the Imperial March? J

It’s been a long three weeks since our last new episode of Chuck. Did everyone enjoy the Olympics? I know I sure didn’t. I missed the gang at the Buy More much more than I enjoyed watching cold people sweeping a hockey rink with weird brooms.

Damages – Recap & Review – Don’t Forget To Thank Mr. Zedeck

Don’t Forget to Thank Mr. Zedeck

Nothing shakes up the plot like a big bag of cash.

Damages continues to score major guest stars, adding Dominic Chianese (The Sopranos) to the cast, and featuring an appearance by Wallace (“Incontheivable!”) Shawn.

As Tom and Deb sit examining ways to cut costs, Deb wants Tom to take legal action against their financial adviser, Eric Nichols. Since their children attend the same school, Tom was an easy mark for Nichols, and he reconnects with him at a couple of events. At Parent/Child Day, he discusses what it means to be a lawyer.

My Two Cents – Nip/Tuck 10 Memorable Procedures

As the days dwindle down for McNamara/Troy, I thought it would be a good time to look back at some of the most memorable cases in Nip/Tuck’s history. Bear in mind (IMHO disclaimer) that these are my picks for the top ten. I’m sure loyal viewers can recall many more.

10. Naomi Gaines, Season Two, Facial Reconstruction

Naomi (Leslie Bibb) was the first victim of the Carver to be treated by Sean and Christian. On top of that, her high profile surgery drew attention away from Bobbi Broderick (Jill Clayburgh), who had been embarrassing the practice by flaunting her botched liposuction.

Oh my God it’s a new episode of Law & Order! Finally. At a time when most shows are full steam ahead or have finished their summer runs, ours finally rears its head again and not a moment too soon. It’s a great way to come down off my 24 high without going braindead.

The general plot seems simple enough: the Official Dead Body is a teenage boy found dead in a parking lot. Except the simple always leads to complicated on this show. Expect it.

Welcome back, Law & Order! And so, since we haven’t had any dead people for awhile, here’s four of them for you. Namely, some sick person or persons offed an entire family.

And…it also looks like they reshot Jeremy Sisto and Anthony Anderson’s title cards, and part of the opening sequence. Random, I know, but I notice these things. (“By the way, without the beards? You guys look five years younger,” Van Buren says, to which Bernard tells his partner, “Which makes you about twelve.”)

We open this week with the Dana story again. Sigh. Poor Cole is trying to do CPR on Kevin. Sad that of course Kevin’s a jerk right up until he dies, and now that he’s dead we feel just a little bit remorseful. George Mason Syndrome, anyone?

Anyway, Cole decides he’s going to cover up Dana’s past to protect the woman he loves. He’s a better person than me; I’d be running the other way and fast.
