I thought this final elimination would be sooo boring. And up until the final moments, it was playing out just like I thought it would.

Then bam! Ryan pulls a shocking elimination. And all 16 contestants ended up in tears.

But they weren’t crying over the group number, “Haven’t Met You Yet.” The pre-recorded track was so auto-tuned that the contestants sounded like the Brady Bunch. This is not what Michael Buble had in mind when he recorded that song, not at all.

No, this isn’t a continuation of Parenthood’s “Man Vs Possum” episode this week. It’s totally different. But the same. Got it? No? Me either. But then again, I’m usually one who rambles.

Oh wait, shoot, there’s a show here I’m supposed to be recapping and reviewing isn’t there? Yeah, I thought you would say th … SQUIRREL!!!

Psych
Mr. Yin Presents

Original Air Date: March 10, 2010

Em – TwoCents Reviewer

Shawn Spencer, it seems, has a lifelong love of Hitchcock movies. First we see him sneaking into Psycho as a kid, and then we see him going to a Hitchcock triple feature with Gus. Their pleasant night out is interrupted by the return of Mary Lightly, who’s convinced that Yang – the serial killer from last season’s finale – must have had a partner. Shawn’s answer to Mary is the same as it was last year: get a hobby. But it turns out that Mary’s not as crazy as he seems.

Legendary and multiple Emmy Award winner Betty White will take her long-anticipated turn at hosting NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on May 8. White will make her first appearance in Studio 8H.

The six-time Emmy winner and cultural icon will host “SNL” for the first time in her illustrious seven-decade-long career. White is best known for her performance as Rose Nylund on NBC’s “The Golden Girls,” the beloved comedy series that aired from 1985 to 1992. Previously, she co-starred as Sue Ann Nivens in the classic comedy series “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.”

In January, White was the proud recipient of the 2010 SAG Lifetime Achievement Award. White appeared in the 2009 romantic-comedy feature film “The Proposal,” alongside Ryan Reynolds and Oscar winner Sandra Bullock, and can be seen again this fall in the film “You Again,” starring Kristin Bell.

“I can’t think of a better way to spend Mother’s Day weekend than with Betty White ” said Lorne Michaels, Creator and Executive Producer of SNL.

Before I start my recap and review of this week’s episode, I was gone from reviewing last week and didn’t get a chance to say what I thought about last week’s episode. I won’t say much, but I have a burning need to say one thing: Matthew Gray Gubler did a fantastic job directing Mosley Lane!

Okay, I’m done with that. Now let’s get to business on the new episode. This week we follow around a lonely trucker who wants nothing more than to get his daughter back and have a real family again. Sounds sweet, doesn’t it? But to say I just glossed over some very important details would be an understatement.

Faye O – Senior Reviewer
faye@thetwocentscorp.com

This week’s Modern Family was filled with lies, deceit, and then finally, the inevitable truth. Each character brings in their own form of comedy, and without each of them, the show wouldn’t be anywhere near as funny as it is. Let’s take a look at this episode.

Phil and Claire are in a funk. Phil is getting Facebook messages from an old girlfriend, and Claire is extremely jealous of it. He has made plans with Denise and this is NOT okay with Claire.

Finally…Betty is back! It’s been a long wait for our final 5 episodes (quite sad), but we were finally back and it was a good one. Seems like the writing team is back to season 1 quality…thank God! This episode starts with the whole Suarez family living in Betty’s tiny apartment (if you remember- the house had a small fire and lots of smoke damage) and living arrangements are a bit tight.
