Family Guy – Recap & Review – Peter-assment

Peter-assment

Original Air Date: Mar 21, 2010

The show opens with the Griffins attending a musical written about Terri Schaivo (for those who don’t remember this was the lady in a coma who got turned into a political battle during the Bush years) and wow… leave it to Family Guy to write some hilariously politically incorrect lyrics! Stewie is apparently playing the role as “the plug” in the play. But poor Stewie gets out on stage and apparently he gets stage fright. Richard Dreyfus was apparently in the audience and Peter harassed him with his video camera. That video got on TMZ so Peter believes he’s now a journalist or something. Peter starts by harassing Stewie (who runs away and crashes his wagon into the mailbox), Tom Tucker, Mayor West, and Ollie Williams. And Ollie Williams in fact punches Peter in the face!

The Amazing Race – Recap & Review – Cathy Drone?

I’m kind of looking forward to this episode because the information screen says “contestants accidentally race to the wrong city.” That sounds pretty interesting! The television preview shows Brent and Caite, and more Brent and Caite, being super frustrated with each other and not doing so well in their task. Jeff and Jordan have been behind in the last few legs and Louie and Michael have been ruling the game. Will the ‘Stache bros keep going strong and will Jeff and Jordan get out of their rut?

Thanks again, FX network. You took a big risk with Archer, the first animated show in the lineup. Animation aside, though, it is more memorable as the first consistently hilarious FX comedy since It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. We’ll miss Sterling Archer and the ISIS staff, but we can’t wait to see what creator Adam Reed and the gang have in store for next season.

The Office – Recap & Review – New Leads

The Office
New Leads

Original Air date: Mar 18, 2010

Shannon – Associate Editor
shannon@thetwocentscorp.com

Basically, corporate has asked everyone to support the sales staff and now the office revolves around the sales department. I will admit that the sales staff members are being kind of jerky.

Michael holds one of his pointless meetings in which it comes out that Sabre Corporate paid $50,000 for some new leads and the sales staff wants them. Michael tells the sales staff off and says he won’t give sales the new leads because they, for all intents and purposes, won’t play with him.

TwoCents & Five Questions With Desmond Harrington

…Desmond Harrington, Actor

Brittany Frederick – Staff Writer
brittanyfrederick@thetwocentscorp.com

Ever since I was forced to sit through a little movie called Ghost Ship eight years ago, Desmond Harrington has topped my list of most under appreciated actors.

I was lucky enough to meet him four years ago when he joined the ensemble of the truly great ABC improv comedy Sons & Daughters, and to discover that he’s also the nicest guy I’ve ever met.

These days, Desmond is part of one of TV’s best ensemble casts on Showtime’s hit series Dexter, as hot-headed, morally ambiguous detective Joey Quinn. He sat down with me to chat about his role on the show and a versatile career thus far.

(SPOILER ALERT – This interview contains spoilers for the fourth season of Dexter!!)

TheTwoCents: So, first things first, how did you get involved with the show? It was certainly great to see you back on TV every week.
Desmond Harrington: The producer of the show, Sara Colleton, was one of the producers of [his 2001 film] Riding In Cars With Boys, she thought I’d be right for the part. I went in, I read for it and I got the part.

30 Rock – Recap & Review – Don Geiss, America and Hope

Laura Kelley – Associate Staff Writer

Okay, I’ll say it: 30 Rock is the funniest show on TV. Also, I’m in love with Wesley Snipes. Not the actor, the pale Englishman. Jack, however, doesn’t really love Kabletown, the company that bought NBC. He holds a meeting and throws a battery at Liz, while Jenna sings Amazing Grace for no reason. Liz keeps running into Wesley, and they are still completely wrong for each other.

This week we are treated to an episode of Parks and Recreation entitled “Park Safety”. What’s nice about this show is we don’t need to ever see the “previously on…” stuff. It’s simple fun week in and week out.

This week, we’re going to celebrate American Idol with Parks & Rec. So, keeping that in mind, here are my TOP 12 moments of tonight’s episode.

Revelation Zero- Part 2

Original Air Date: Mar 18, 2010

Caitlin- Senior Reviewer
caitlin@thetwocentscorp.com

Tonight’s return is actually two episodes, but we move straight into the second part , so I’ve created a break as close to the halfway point as possible. Mark follows clues to a sandwich shop that moved after the blackout. It seems their old location is where Simon and Lloyd are being held, and Simon is continuing to be tortured.
