So, Sherman made it through his first time alone but it wasn’t exactly what he expected. Did he feel the power? Or is it just that he’s too emotional and wants to save everyone? (I’m going with emotional…) Cooper schooled Brown on the basics of being a cop and I hope that doesn’t make her question her skills. Clarke is still gone but Adams finally warmed up to Cordero (as did I). The previews show Sherman and Cooper visiting Dewey in rehab and, well, I’m sure that’s gonna be a trip!

American Idol — Recap & Review — Top 11

American Idol
Top 11

Original Air Date: Mar 23, 2010

Next to the finale, this week of American Idol is the most important. The saddest place to end up is No. 11, because you miss making the tour by one.

No one wants that.

And if the gods of singing competition have anything to say about it, Paige Miles will be that unlucky 11th contestant. There were several lackluster performances Tuesday night, but none as abysmal as hers. Simon had it right when he said it hadn’t been a good night.

Lost – Recap & Review – Ab Aeterno

Finally we got an episode that a) answered some questions, and b) let us see more Richard Alpert! This week we didn’t see the “sideways” world of the Island folks back in LA, but we got to see a ton of great stuff. At the start of the hour, the Jacob group, which I refuse to call Team Jacob due to the complete lack of sparkly vampires and moody werewolves on this show, listens to Ilana recall how Jacob got her to protect the candidates. Richard freaks out and tells them they’re all dead and they’re in hell. Say what?

Tonight’s episode is titled Wassup, and I can’t begin to imagine what that means. Last week was easy, but ‘wassup’ reminds me of that 1990s beer commercial. Perhaps it’s a throwback to trying to be cool. Maybe it alludes to trying to be something you aren’t. The only way to find out is to read the recap, so let’s get on with it, shall we?

E!’s Favorite Couple

photo: nbc

Remember back around Valentine’s Day, TheTwoCents did a staff and reader poll about your favorite TV couples?

Well it seems we weren’t the only ones. The smart folks over at E! have been conducting their own poll over the last few weeks, pitting couples against couples in order to get down to viewers’ favorite TV couple of all time.

And their winner? Chuck and Sarah from Chuck. I haven’t watched in a while, but are they even a REAL couple?!

The battle came down to the winning couple and the runners up, Ross and Rachel from Friends. It was a close race, with Chuck/Sarah winning 59% to 41%. Ross and Rachel were on both of our lists, and #1 with the fans. Chuck and Sarah didn’t make either list.

The contest start with 16 TV couples paired off against each other, then went down to 8, then 4 then the final 2. However, it seemed the oldest show on their list was X-Files.

Our newest pick is for your Guilty Pleasure show. Make sure to vote!

Big Bang Theory – Recap & Review – The Pants Alternative

Big Bang Theory
The Pants Alternative

Original Air Date: Mar 22, 2010

It was a warm, Tuesday afternoon as I was doing some work and my e-mail went off. Our regular awesome Big Bang Theory reviewer asked if anyone could cover her. I jumped for joy because last night, hands down, was one of the BEST episodes in BBT history. All morning long, my friends and I have been going back and forth quoting last night’s episode to each other and, without giving anything away, there is a certain part of the episode I can’t stop thinking about.

If you didn’t see the previews, Sheldon receives an award and has to give a speech but has stage fright (yes, the man who never stops talking apparently can’t talk in front of a group of people). What happens next is the second funniest episode after The Adhesive Duck Deficiency.

Chuck – Recap & Review – Chuck Vs. The Final Exam

Chuck Vs. The Final Exam

Original Air Date: Mar 22, 2010

Jeff L – Staff Writer
JeffL@thetwocentscorp.com

Chuck has given up his “I’ll never be a gun guy” stance from previous episodes and it looks like he shoots and kills a guy (Kyle Bornheimer) to open this week’s episode – which is all about Chuck finally becoming the “real” spy he’s been training for these past three years.

The b-story centers around Casey’s difficult adjustment to real life. It must be hard to be an international spy one day and then a Buy More green shirt for real the next. He’s made assistant to the Ass. Man. while Morgan is at a training seminar and of course he busts some heads while he’s in charge. Literally. Jeff and Lester threaten to sue.

Scrubs Flatlines

Scrubs is no more

ABC hasn’t announced it officially, but when the main man himself says it, it’s most likely true.

Zach Braff took to his Facebook and wrote: “Many of you have asked, so here it is,” writes Zach, “it appears that ‘New Scrubs’, ‘Scrubs 2.0’, ‘Scrubs with new kids’, ‘Scrubbier’, ‘Scrubs without JD’ is no more. It was worth a try, but alas… it didn’t work. zb”

The show’s mastermind Bill Lawrence says that while Scrubs “hasn’t been canceled, we’re all just assuming it’s over.”

At this time, ABC isn’t commenting.

How I Met Your Mother – Recap & Review – Say Cheese

How I Met Your Mother
Say Cheese

Original Air Date: Mar 22, 2010

Faye O- Senior Reviewer
faye@thetwocentscorp.com

After a week-long break, How I Met Your Mother came back with a hilarious bang! This episode was full of group photos, birthdays, and flashbacks to Ted’s old skanks.

First off, let me start by saying that this episode came at the perfect time. Lily is turning 32, and she is so excited for her birthday. This Sunday happens to be my 23rd birthday, and I’m so excited for that! Like Lily, my birthday is the most important day of the year, and it’s exciting from start to finish. Her birthday is full of tiaras and love from her friends and Marshall.

‘Til Death Dies

photo: fox

If you were still watching what I thought was to be the funny show ‘Til Death, which was surprisingly in its fourth season, I’m sorry to tell you it has been canceled.

Executive Producer and star Brad Garrett told Zap2it that although FOX hasn’t officially announced the cancellation, the ratings are horrible and the stars have found other projects.

“The other night, we got an 0.8 [rating],” Garrett reports in his famously deep voice. “Once your mom stops watching, you’re an 0.4. The network said, ‘What do you suggest?’ I said, ‘If you give me one more month, I can take you to a zero.’ And there was dead silence.”
