It seems that every time I talk to people about this show, they say the same thing: “I would love Community but I don’t like Pierce.” To that I ask why not? He’s no more active than any of the other characters and he really does have a heart of gold. Can a semi-Pierce centric episode change your minds? And why don’t people like the loveable old man?

After a long day of school and work, it’s always nice to come home to a hilarious episode of Modern Family, and this week was no exception. It’s nice to be able to count on Cameron and his gaiety, Gloria and her Colombian nature, and Phil with his quirky parenthood style. This show is definitely a great way to celebrate the middle of the week.

Admit it — the only real suspense about Wednesday night’s results show was if Miley Cyrus would wear her short, shorts again.

Even when Tim Urban and Katie Stevens joined Paige Miles in the three stools of despair, it was more than obvious who was going home. Even though the idea of Tim making the tour is going to hamper ticket sales. And Katie was in danger for a mere three and a half seconds.

Human Target – Recap & Review – Corner Man

Last week’s “Baptiste” was the best episode of Human Target yet. Makes me wonder if this week can live up to that standard. Well, giving me Mark Valley shirtless for at least part of it helps.

We’re dropped right into the middle of an MMA fight, where Chance Is doing his best not to get his head handed to him. He’s doing alright, but…go back to four days earlier where he and Winston are headed to a meeting with a guy that once threatened to violently kill him. Neither of these things sound like fun, but Chance being Chance, he isn’t bothered by either of the above. Winston is not so laid-back (but when is he ever?):

Television schedules have been odd lately so we missed a week with Jules and the gang. Supposedly, this week Jules vows to give up wine and Grayson gets a lady – in the form of Sheryl Crow! I know that all she wants to do is have some fun (ha, get it? Cheesy…), but I hope she can act, too. I haven’t seen her in much but I’m sure she can hold her own with these guys.

What’s Past is Prologue

Before I start, I need to apologize because my local CW feed was having some issues throughout the night yesterday. The show came through first in bits and pieces, then in slow motion, then in fast forward, then again in slow motion. I tried to write as I watched, but it became too much so I’m giving it another go today. I might miss a few bits and pieces, but overall, I’ve got the goodies. 🙂

There’s a lot going on in our favorite zip code right now. We’ve got the Adrianna/Gia thing, Navid moving on, Teddy/Silver giving it a go, Naomi/Liam trying things out while Ivy is miserable (and her mom secretly shtuped her teacher in his car), Dixon’s birth mother showing up, Debbie being crushed on by hottie Yoga teacher, and oh yah, Annie being stalked by Jasper.

Justified – Recap & Review – Riverbrook

After fifteen years behind bars, escaped convict Cooper is out of touch with the changes in car alarms. As a result, the only thing he can steal is an AMC Gremlin. That, and the ensuing argument with his cohorts, is just one of the touches that make Justified such an interesting show to watch.

This could be called the first true episode of Justified, since it is not an adaptation. The writers, however, have incorporated touches like that to keep the stories true to Elmore Leonard’s style, breaking the tension with silly arguments in the face of potential danger. It is an element that rounds out every character we see, from Raylan down to the unnamed prison guard.
