The first elimination episode of the season didn’t waste any time in announcing the first safe couple and the first couple in the bottom two. The first couple announced to be safe: Buzz and Ashley!!! The first couple in the bottom two: Pamela and Damian. And of course, there was lots of other “stuff” to justify the hour long program. Read on to find out which couple was ultimately eliminated.

Last week Chuck “kills” a guy and this week we learn that Sarah killed Superman’s wife (Lois?). Chuck finally proclaims his love for Sarah now that he’s a real spy and about to begin his mission overseas, but it maybe too little too late.

Castle – Recap & Review – Boom!

Castle
Boom!

Original Air Date: Mar 29, 2010

Karen Belgrad – TwoCents Reviewer

karenbelgrad@thetwocentscorp.com

This week took a decidedly darker turn than any episodes to date. We began where we left off last week: Castle in the street racing to Beckett’s apartment, Beckett getting out of the shower to answer her phone clad in a towel, and her apartment going ‘boom’ after the ominous voice said “Goodbye Nikki”. All viewers were left hanging for a week wondering if Beckett would survive!

But really, were we? Was there actually a single viewer who thought Beckett wouldn’t survive? It almost would’ve been more plausible for the bomb to be set at Castle’s with Alexis and Martha, as they are not the entire premise of the show! And if you weren’t convinced she survived, did those smoking hot ‘Beckett playing pool in Castle’s mind’ ads that aired during Dancing With The Stars convince you?

DVR Alert – Friday Night Lights Moves Back A Week

fnl finally coming back

The premiere of NBC’s critically acclaimed drama “Friday Night Lights” will move back by one week from Friday, April 30 (8-9 p.m. ET) to Friday, May 7 (8-9 p.m. ET).

As season four opens, a redistricting plan has left Dillon a town divided. After being ousted from his role as head coach at Dillon High School, Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) finds himself faced with the daunting task of building a football team from scratch as well as motivating and disciplining the unmanageable East Dillon Lions.

Tensions follow Coach Taylor off the field as he and Tami (Connie Britton), who remains principal of West Dillon High, find themselves increasingly at odds with one another. The new year will also focus on the fate of several returning characters including last season’s graduates Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch), Lyla Garrity (Minka Kelly), and Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) as well as Julie Taylor (Aimee Teegarden) and Landry Clark (Jesse Plemons).

My Two Cents – So You Think You Can Dance Shakes Up Seventh Season

photo: fox

Did you hear the news? So You Think You Can Dance is changing up their format. Here’s the breakdown and what I think.

Instead of 20 finalists there will only be TEN. Instead of them dancing with each other, they will dance with former SYTYCD contestants. Each week, only one dancer will be eliminated.

So let’s start at the top, only ten finalists? After watching so many agonizing elimination rounds to bring it down to only ten seems like cruel and unusual punishment. That’s not to say that I don’t think that there are people who make it into the top 20 each season who don’t deserve it, but I can’t help but think of only last season when Russell won, would he have made a top ten list? I don’t think so. But I do think the stricter number will increase the level of talent seen in the finalists.

When Glenn Close is tied to a project, and there’s a pot on the stove, you know you’re in for trouble. Unlike the infamous scene from Fatal Attraction, however, the pot in question ties to a dream sequence involving Ellen’s past. With three episodes left, we will have to wait and see if it distracts her from the Tobin case.

Monday’s Ratings Show Some Shows Are In Trouble

When the time of the year comes around for Dancing with the Stars to air, a lot of shows start airing reruns as to not compete with it.

Last night was about 50/50 with new vs. old episodes going against it and if you weren’t worried about some of your favorite shows being in trouble before, you might want to take a look at these ratings:

CBS: How I Met Your Mother rerun (5.7 million)/Rules of Engagement (7.3 million)
NBC: Chuck (5.6 million)

Here it is: the first episode of 24 since the announcement of the show’s imminent cancellation. Ironically, the show will end on May 24. And ironically, it starts with a wounded Jack…ignoring medical advice, because he’s Jack.

At least he has Cole and Renee to help him. Unfortunately, Dana the Mole is off being mole-y, and helps the bad guys escape. Hastings has to break the news that the nuclear rods are in Manhattan to the President and Co., who are holed up in New Jersey (“like what, you’re so special?”).

Law & Order – Recap & Review – Brazil

Brazil

Original Air Date: Mar 29, 2010

Guess where we are? Nope, not Brazil. But, we’ve got a Brazilian consulate involved!

This week we’re at a global warming symposium where everyone is annoyed about everything. Unfortunately, the primary speaker goes down in front of an audience and has a stroke. This is enough to call out Lupo and Bernard, who are confused as to why they’re dealing with a living victim. At least, until Bernard catches evidence on tape that the guy was bleeding before he went down…now it’s attempted murder.
