Mayim Bialik on Big Bang Theory and Blossom Reunion!

bialik to bbt

If one of your guilty pleasure shows is Secret Life of an American Teenager, then you’ve recently seen Mayim Bialik, aka Blossom Russo from the 90s show Blossom, as the high school guidance counselor.

If it’s not and you’re a TV junkie like me and watch the now-canceled ‘Til Death, you’ve seen her playing a psychiatrist helping Doug through his troubles thinking his world is a scripted show.

But now you’re going to see her in her biggest post-Blossom role yet: guest-starring on Big Bang Theory as Sheldon’s girlfriend. YES. Take a breath, now come back to me. We’ve all been waiting to see if Sheldon would ever find love (or if he was even capable of it) and he will find it in the form of Bialik, who in reality has a PhD in neuroscience.

Over the past few episodes, you may have noticed that one or two storylines have been the main focus each week.

This week, that means going to Somalia with the agents, minus Mark. That thing where he stayed back for his own safety? Probably a good idea, as it turns out.

David Boreanaz, Actor

Tonight marks the return of Bones and the beginning of 8 new episodes in a row… including a flash back to the beginning of Brennan and Booth’s relationship in the milestone 100th episode.

And guess what? David Boreanaz directed the episode!

Could it get any better? Yep – we got a chance to interview the star and find out a little about the momentous episode, his thoughts about Booth vs. Angel, and if he’s got another 100 episode in him.

TheTwoCents: How did it come about that you are directing the 100th episode?

TwoCents & FiveQuestions with John Noble

John Noble, Actor

Walter Bishop is one of my favorite characters on TV, and John Noble is one of my favorite people in the world. I got a chance to catch up with him again to talk about the much-anticipated return of Fringe where Walter flashes back to 1985 while trying to explain everything to Olivia. Yeah. Good luck with that.

TheTwoCents: What was it like for you to go back to 1985?

John Noble: Oh man… Continue reading

So Grayson finally opened up to a woman (in the form of Sheryl Crow) and has a real, adult girlfriend. This is not making Jules happy. They’re 40ish but act like they’re in high school with their back and forth “I like you but don’t want to be with you right now but maybe someday” thing and constant flirting. Wonder what will happen now that Sara is sticking around for a bit?

TwoCents & Five Questions With Jamie Oliver

…Jamie Oliver, Chef

Jamie Oliver first came to the American public’s attention with his successful Food Network series The Naked Chef. Since then, we’ve seen him meld his cooking skills with a social conscience to help underprivileged kids in Jamie’s Kitchen and try to revolutionize the British school lunch system in Jamie’s School Dinners. Now he brings his healthy-living concept to America with Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, a six-part series airing Fridays on ABC. Jamie sat down with us this Wednesday to dish on his latest venture.

TheTwoCents: What made you decide to focus on children’s nutrition and turn it into a documentary series?

Bye-bye Didi Benami. You had so much potential, but way too many bum notes to garner my support. And obviously you didn’t get America’s support either.

What becomes of the broken-hearted indeed.

The show started with the crassest movie plug that Idol has ever done, and that’s really saying something. Cutting up the opening of the show with clips from “Clash of the Titans” made no sense, no matter how hard they tried. OK, maybe comparing Simon to the Kraken wasn’t that far off the mark.

I’ve never been to Alaska. I’ve never wanted to go to Alaska. Mostly because it’s cold, and I hate cold. Yet here we are, on an Alaskan island, with Moon Bloodgood (whom you may remember from Burn Notice, but whom I remember from the godawful Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li).

She’s playing Dr. Jessica Shaw, and she’s gone missing after ticking off the wrong people, so her mom has turned to Chance and Co. to find her. It’s an unusual case, but aren’t they all in some way?

It’s Phil’s birthday and he is excited about getting the iPad. He is going to wake up first thing in the morning to line up and get it. Claire doesn’t understand what the big deal is but Claire decides to get it in line for him at 6 AM so he’ll wake up and have his new “toy” on his birthday.
