Being in college, I remember fondly the days when spring break took place in spring and not at the end (or sometimes in the middle) of winter. Ritchie still lives in this period, and when Christine realizes how little he’s travelled, she takes the family on vacation to Disney World. I fear for both them and Mickey.

TwoCents & Five Questions With The Creative Team of White Collar

…The Creative Team of White Collar

White Collar seems to be USA’s latest in a proven track record (Monk, Psych, Burn Notice) of turning out superior original series. It’s also my favorite of all those shows, with a style and a wit all its own. Audiences agreed, turning out in record numbers so as to guarantee a second season before the first had gotten that far at all.

Tuesday night at the The Paley Center for Media, series creator Jeff Eastin and members of the cast chatted about their thoughts on the blockbuster first season and what they’d like to see in season two.

Catching Up With Human Target at WonderCon

photo: warner bros/phil bray

Being in the same room with the guys from Human Target reminds me of my senior year of high school, when I somehow ended up sitting next to all the cool kids in class. I didn’t think I fit in, until they started talking to me and I realized they actually really liked me. Series stars Mark Valley and Jackie Earle Haley, as well as creator/executive producer Jonathan Steinberg, are still cooler than me. They were also good enough to chat about the end of the season and their hopes for a possible season two in an appearance at WonderCon on Easter Sunday.

(SPOILER ALERT – These interviews do contain some spoilers for the season finale of Human Target, airing April 14. If you don’t want to know, read this in two weeks.)

SouthLAnd – Recap & Review – Maximum Deployment

SouthLAnd
Maximum Deployment

Original Air Date: Apr 6, 2010

Farrah Kaye – Associate Editor

This episode may be the last one we ever see of SouthLAnd. If that is true, then it needs to be a good one. A GREAT one. One that leaves me breathless but answers questions and wraps up storylines just in case it doesn’t come back. There is true loyal following behind the show, with Save SouthLAnd petitions everywhere. It was brought back once, it can be brought back a second time, right?

Yesterday, I participated in TNT’s Twitterview with Ben McKenzie and Michael Cudlitz (Officers Sherman and Cooper) and the interaction they had with their fans was like nothing I have ever seen before. They are truly appreciative of the loyalty their fans show and I hope TNT recognizes this. There needs to be more SouthLAnd. I will get off my soapbox now and get on with the show.

You have to love a show that features two mob flunkies debating the authenticity of Pulp Fiction. Kind of brings Tarantino full circle while bringing a rhythm and levity to the episode. Throw in actors from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Mod Squad and you’ve really got something to watch. And then, of course, there’s the Christmas special reference…

Hello all Parenthood fans. I’ll be filling in for your regular reviewer Brittany tonight as we wade through our weekly Braverman family dilemmas, moments, and inappropriate caregiver discussion topics.

Each of the siblings got their story in to varying degrees of success. And, lo and behold, Bonnie Bedelia finally got more than four lines as the rarely seen matriarch Camille. But if you were looking for Haddie or Drew moments, you’ll have to rewatch last week’s episode. So let’s run down the siblings and their interactions, starting with…

Meg – Reviewer

Well, considering the title of tonight’s episode was “Sweaty Palms and Weak Knees,” I have to say that this episode was not the trainwreck o’ awkward I was anticipating. In fact, we had some nice moments: Annie grew a backbone and we finally (finally!) said goodbye (rather, good riddance/ it’s not me, it’s you/ please don’t write, etc…) to petulant psycho-twit, Jasper.

Maura Tierney Will Return To “Rescue Me”

photo: fx

Maura Tierney, who had to back out of NBC’s Parenthood to focus on treatment for breast cancer, will be back on television soon.

She is returning to the FX show Rescue Me as Kelly McPhee, a role she began last season, according to TV Guide. Although she has already begun filming her scenes, they won’t actually air until 2011, during the show’s final season.

In the meantime, Tierney’s rep says that the Emmy-nominated actress has “finished treatment and is doing very well and is happy to move forward with the next phase of her life.”

Tierney can currently be seen in the New York production of ‘North Atlantic,’ which runs at the Baryshnikov Arts Center until Apr. 25.

TwoCents & Five Questions with Christopher Gorham

gorham

…Christopher Gorham, Actor

I had the opportunity to sit down and have dinner with actor Christopher Gorham and ask him a few questions. OK, so maybe I didn’t get to sit and have dinner with him…a girl can dream, can’t she?

He was kind enough to take time from his busy schedule and I really appreciate it. Chris will be on tonight’s episode of Ugly Betty, playing Henry (of course) who shows up in NY after Betty drunk-called him last week.

Chris has been busy over the past year filming the movies My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend (out later this month), Trivial Pursuits, and currently working on The Ledge. You may remember him playing that crazy sister-loving serial killer, Henry Dunn, in Harper’s Island. He will also be in the USA Networks Covert Affairs due to start in July. Shall we get started?

TwoCents: How much do you think an actor’s social responsibility and beliefs should align with the kind of films, television, and plays they select?
