Each week that I watch Modern Family, I fall more and more in love with it. I wish I had a crazy Uncle Cameron and an exotic new Grandmother Gloria. It makes me realize that my family, though I love them very much, is definitely not unique in any way, shape, or form.

The love that runs through this family is deep. Claire loves her kids, they love her. Mitchell and Cameron have such great love for each other and for Lilly. Gloria has such pure love for Jay and Manny. I love it! However, there is an apparent struggle between Phil and Jay…son-in-law to father-in-law. But this isn’t just any struggle, this is a struggle for power. During Manny and Luke’s basketball game, the coach is being incredibly rude to all the kids, and neither Jay or Phil like this. After yelling at the coach, he quits leaving them in charge. Phil assumes that he’ll take over a coach, and starts to give the kids a pep talk. Just then, Jay decides to assume the role of alpha male, and coach. This upsets Phil bringing on many hilarious remarks such as “I slept with your daughter.” I completely laughed out loud at that. Finally, they admitted to having a little struggle for power between each other, and compromised on coaching the team together, adding a sense of unity and togetherness. It was cute.

We got a chance to talk with him about how he got involved with the show, what he thinks of the fringe sciences, and where he would go if he could time travel.

This is the episode which brings back Shane Casey. Shane Casey is a villain who staged elaborate murders in revenge for his brother’s conviction, a brother who then committed suicide in jail. The first time the CSI’s came across him, they let him go, not realizing he was a suspect. The second time he got caught but escaped on the way to jail. The third time, he almost successfully framed Sheldon Hawkes for murder, but was too distraught to carry on once presented with evidence his brother committed the murder he was convicted of. Earlier this season, it was revealed Casey stole Danny’s badge. I wonder what Casey has in store for this episode…

In this week’s episode Jamie and Adam tackle a question that I am sure has been on every frat boy’s mind at one time or another. Is it better to be hit over the head with an empty beer bottle or a full one?

I have to admit, I was looking forward to seeing the boys hit each other over the head with beer bottles. Fortunately cooler heads prevailed.

While most shows are winding down for the season, In Plain Sight is just getting into the swing of things. And are doing so with a puny titled episode. This week we’ve got a coma, heartache, angst, ballet, and former West Wing actors.

So we begin in El Paso, Texas. In the home of Wade Guthrie and his girlfriend Krista, the two make up a nauseatingly adorable couple. He’s an ATF Agent getting ready to leave for work. Which of course entails an undercover assignment as a weapons dealer. His partner, Dustin, seems rather inept at the job. Popping pills and downing them with beer, all while driving. Clearly this won’t be ending well.

Having Adam Lambert perform on tonight’s show was to add insult to injury for the S9 contestants: It just makes it abundantly clear that this group of contestants is weaker than any other season.

Oh, and Adam gets real cool laser lights.

It’s the episode I both have dreaded and waited for: the end of the first season of the best new show of the 2009-2010 season. Hopefully, it won’t be the end of the show for good (not if I have anything to say about it).

But fittingly, at the end, we start at the beginning. This is the story of how Christopher Chance became Christopher Chance, and wow, is it a good one.

Well, the final episode is finally upon us and I, for one, am very sad. We finally see how the writers wrap the Betty-story up and what will happen to our beloved characters. I have a few requests of you readers at the end of this recap that I hope you can take the time to do.

But first let’s get started on the end of a wonderful story…
