It’s the age-old 80s dance question: should they stay or should they go? After the Governor’s little Walker calling-card, Rick and Glenn are for staying and Hershel is all about the bugging out. If it were me, I think I’d run… but to where? Ah, apocalypse.

When the group can’t come to a consensus, Rick tries to leave (as per usual) but Hershel has had enough of that crap. He gives Rick a good talking to in front of everyone, telling him that he needs to man up and be the dictator he said he was going to be last fall, or he needs to step down. Carl feels the same. He thinks his dad should abdicate… but does Carl want that for the sake of the group, or for the sake of his father?

Dallas – Recap & Review – Blame Game

Dallas
Blame Game

Way, way back in 1978, Dallas aired an episode called Winds of Vengeance. In that hour, disgruntled husbands held the woman of Southfork hostage as payback for J.R. and Ray having dalliances with their wives. It was a gripping hour of television, with the scene of Sue Ellen in her Miss Texas bathing suit being the devastating pinnacle of the hour.

When I saw the preview for this episode, I immediately had a flashback to the previous Southfork-hostage installment. Unfortunately, this hour wasn’t nearly the focused, intense hour that we got many years ago. In fact, it was a bit disjointed as it seemingly only served to set up what’s coming…

When an episode starts out with “Ahhh, I just killed a dead guy!” and shortly after that, another dude rolls out the missing head onto the floor of the diner you’re eating at…you know you have a doozy of an episode ahead of you.

We finally get to meet our new intern, Dr Oliver Wells, our guy that found the head and made our dining experience memorable. He is super smart and gave Dr Brennan a run for her money…and she has plenty!

Switched At Birth
Tight Rope Walker

Next week may be the all-ASL episode that ABC Family is touting as groundbreaking, but this week’s installment was definitely nothing to sneeze at (even though I have a horrid cold right now!). Once again, the show deftly mixes deaf culture with relationship drama and comes off the better for it.

The nifty thing about Switched At Birth is that you often forget that the show is actually educating you. It’s easy to think of shows where they used symbolism to drive their points home, but this one does not tiptoe around its central issue of how the deaf community is expected to adapt to the hearing world. Which brings us to our main story of the evening…

How I Met Your Mother
Weekend at Barney’s

If you’re familiar with the movie Weekend at Bernie’s, the title of the episode and its opening scene might make sense. The fact that it’s apparently a play from The Playbook meant to attract women to Barney, on the other hand? Yeah, I don’t get it.

Also still illogical is Ted’s continued relationship with Jeanette, the last woman he’s going to date before he finally meets The Mother. How bad are things going to have to get between them? Let’s just say explosives are involved.

Possibly the last ever episode of CSI: New York and it revolves around police officer Kevin Hopkins, who shot a man whilst pursuing two jewelry shop burglars. Hopkins killed Timothy Brown, insisting the man took a shot at him first. When the possibility Brown was unarmed hits the news, groups of angry protestors gather outside the precinct.

Can our CSI:NY keep Hopkins safe whilst uncovering the truth? Time is of the essence. How will such an intense episode affect the team?

Nikita – Recap & Review – Black Badge

Nikita
Black Badge

Original Air Date: Feb 22, 2013

Andrew – TwoCents Reviewer

Someone in Canada fudged up scheduling Nikita on Friday, leading to an Undercover Boss airing at 8 PM, instead of our usual heroine. That’s why this review is coming to you late, so I’ll just drop some quick thoughts about the episode below.

For the second half of the episode, “Black Badge” was classic Nikita, with a clear mission and personal stakes in the rescued character, Sean. I loved seeing Alex and Nikita back in the field together, even if they didn’t have much interplay. Particularly, the medical room scene between them, when Nikita fought off Naomi displayed trust between them. When Naomi proved to be a tough combat opponent, Nikita told Alex to stay with Sean rather than help her. One can argue she’s extremely invested in Sean now that it’s an easy decision for her, but I’m not sure Michael would’ve obliged without any hesitation.

As tonight’s episode begins, Reba is looking through a catalog for a birthday gift for her Mama and seems really frustrated that she cannot find a thing. Kim, her neighbor is sitting with her and comments that soon her own little baby girl, who has yet to even be born, will be doing the same thing. Cash comes in looking to see if his report card has come in the mail – and he seems really nervous about it. Reba asks Cash what he got her and he asks when her birthday is…and it is this weekend! Kim wants Reba to get her mother Botox. June brags that her gift is going to be great – a half-day fishing trip. In order to get out of finding a gift, wants to go with her on the gift. But he doesn’t even have the money to give her and wants to borrow that, too!

What will happen in tonight’s episode? Let’s see….
